BellyGuard Recovery Suit for Dogs, Comfy Dog Surgery Suit, Female Spay and Male Neuter Onesie for Post-Op Care

My girl had bladder stone removal surgery. This suit has been really helpful in protecting her incision. She wears it all day and doesn't mess with her incision at all. At night she wears the suit and a blow up donut. So thankful she doesn't have to wear a cone! She hates those. This is soft and stretchy and very easy to use. The neck hole stretches so it's easy to put on. The back flap snaps around her tail, so I don't have to pull her tail through a hole. There are 2 sets of snaps on the back so you make it a bit snugger. There's also a snap on the back flap that will snap into the front under the neck for when they go out to potty. Really well designed. For reference, my mixed breed dog is 52 pounds of fluff with a big chest and long body. The XL is the right length, and loose through the body. She has tolerated it surprisingly well.

I give this 5 stars. To make a long story short I rescued 2 red heelers, they were pretty much wild dogs who had to fend for every scrap of food, in fact they broke into my back yard and ate all my mesquite beans that had fallen over the last 6 months, maybe longer. I have 8 Mesquite bean trees, so that is a lot of beans, old and new pods. So I took them in, got them fixed 10 days ago, both are boys, both are biters, jumpers, chewers.. they even started chewing on the E-collars, both broke theirs by day 2, luckily, I had ordered these the day they came home when I realized, the E collars were going to be terribly painful for my face and legs every time they hit me with them.They let me put these on, and they have stayed on, they have not gotten them off or chewed them up, but my new puppies were so happy to have the cones off! They like their little onsies. I think its like a comfort for them, they have calmed down and yes I know neutering does that, but this is different kind of calm down.Yes I have to unsnap them every 3 hours for them to potty and yes sometimes its a struggle with my wiggle worms to snap them back on, it is harder work, it takes longer and it might not be for some one who has issues with snaps, like arthritis .. But I do believe these are heavenly for my new boys and I like them being comfortable and being able to get to their water bowl with out them constantly spilling it. and the back of my legs thank this item. Its soft, the sizing is correct, they have lasted 8 days with no rips or tears , I think they are very durable. I washed them today and put the cones back on for the 2 hours, and they washed great. Very good price for these. I will keep them around incase i need them for another time.

This worked great for my 40-ish lb recently fixed 1 year old boy dog. Appreciate the size flexibility. Had to wash it several times and it held up great. Perfect for post surgery. Dog didn’t mind it at all! Also easy to snap up for bathroom times!

I really liked this suit, it was a great deal and the dog seems to like wearing it too. It's a soft cotton material. It has a pocket in the belly area to insert extra pads for absorbancy of any bleeding from surgery if needed. I like that it's a little loose so it's not rubbing the incision site. It did not shrink after washing it either. It was easy to put on, but is a pullover type. So if your dog shouldn't be moved too much after surgery, it may not be the one you want. It does roll up and snap on the chest for potty breaks. There are a few things I'm not happy with. It's too long for my French Bulldog even on the smaller snap setting. She is 16 inches in length from base of her neck to the top of her tail. We purchased the medium size recommended. After washing it the first time it started to pull apart at some of the seems. I have included photos of this.

Alfie is a FB2 cavapoo & is 8 lbs. He was just neutered & I noticed he was trying to lick there. I bought this in hopes that it would be easy to put on him as well as protect his goodies or lack of thereof. LOL it fits him perfect, is soft, stretchy and putting it on was really simple. He isn't a fan of putting clothes on, or being still enough to put clothes on. You put their head through the neck first and then the front legs, which are large enough to where he doesn't even know that he's putting on a shirt. Then the snap part comes up through the legs, the snaps aren't hard to "snqp" so you're not sitting there long at all causing them to get anxious. Alfie is still a puppy so he hates sitting still for long. It has a big hole for the tail so it doesn't press on it at all. Theres multiple snap spots so you can fit it accordingly. He has been wearing it all day and hasn't tried to get out of it. It is not super tight but it is protective enough where he can't get to his incision. Being that is near his hiney it is a big plus. Other recovery suits that I've tried do not cover the area that I need protected. The decal on the back is a plus. So adorable. He still looks cute without looking like he's in a straight jacket LOL his measurements are: neck 7 in, back 11 in, and girth 10 in, 8 lbs. I got the size small. This fit him perfectly. I haven't taken him out yet but the instructions on how to snap it up out of the way looks easy enough. I don't have to take it all off just to put it back on again. If anyone is looking for a recovery suit I highly recommend this one.

I got this for my 90 lb 10 month old puppy after surgery and this worked great! So much more comfortable for my dog than a cone. Stays on way better than a T-shirt and shorts pinned together. I was worried about him unsnapping it and it coming off. We have been using it for over a week and that has not happened at all. Great quality. I have washed it 3 times so far and it has held up great!! Wish I had boughten two of them. I also wish they came in an XXXL for when he is full grown if needed again after surgery. I used the chart to measure my dog and the fit for him was great!
