The best Spider-Man story to exist.
The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my favorite heroes of all time and this is a landmark story featuring the hero. Spider-Man's defeated in mind and spirit as Kraven takes over his entire mantle and destroys him. Spider-Man makes a comeback of course and proves difficult to kill, but does that mean he truly won? Or has Kraven proven himself superior by merely leaving the Wallcrawler with the terrifyingly chilling thought of the fact that if Kraven wanted to ,he'd have killed him without a second thought? How does a hero, even as mighty as Spider-Man come out on top from that?

Plain and simple..... AWESOME!!
The comic is short, but has a big blast to it. A little spoiler - the comic's main highlight is not our friendly neighbourhood Spidey, but the villain itself. The story and the art both are gripping. I would recommend this to every comic book fan.

Finally got the full story in one edition. It is masterfully issued, the only thing that could be improved would be the book being in hardcover, but hey. Not always you can get it all. And by being softcover edition the price is reasonably lower. The story with ambitious bits has nice J.M. introduction and some b/w sketches at the end. Of course with all the covers inbetween parts. So glad they picked the best cover of all the covers and enhanced some of them colours. The very story is now a classic one with a new (at the time of first printing) take at a "meh" villain - Kraven the Hunter. Writer skillfully presents an unusal approach to Parker with more serious topics like 'it is actually asking for death playing a superhero' and such. With nicely added kind of flashbacks and fast pace the book proves to be one of those that aged pretty well. Drawings are a bit old to today's standards, but they have their own magic. And that cover... Cannot just express how much I love it. Just one of the best evah not only by Spider standards. Highly recommended

I think it was a very good comic that captures that 80s spider man look with a very deep and scary story telling of Kraven’s obsession with hunting . I think this is perfect for Spider man fans and the comic got here very fast and the quality was good
