VETRISCIENCE Pinchers Pill Hiding Dog Treats with Probiotics - Wrap Pills, Capsules and Tablets - Makes Giving Medication Easy

These are exactly what I wanted. The negative comments are mostly from people who are reading or looking at the photo descriptions. These are SMALL. I needed to stick Benadryl into small pill pockets, others are too large and my dog doesn’t like greenies. My photo shows its small size compared to the pills. My dog ate it up, the official website claims grain free but they contain oat flour so be mindful if your pet has sensitivities.

June 2022: I think the first bag I purchased was not fresh because I ordered these once more (my preferred brand was out of stock) and the second order was much fresher and the pockets were much softer! These are now my preferred brand because 1. they are low fat and great for dogs with pancreatitis, 2. they have probiotics, 3. they are easy to form around more than one medication, 4. my dogs love them and 5. they are not greasy like some others I've tried. Switched from 4 to 5 stars and set up a subscription!Original Review from March 2022: I purchased these as a low-fat alternative for my dog who has Pancreatitis and needs low fat everything. He loves them, but they are very hard to form around more than one capsule if you need to. If you are just using to pop one pill/capsule into, they are a great option. If you need to manipulate them at all, they are not my first choice.

I found these very difficult to work with. My dog needs meds 2x a day, and these were too small. I ended up having to use 2 each time. They are also to hard to work the pills into. I’m guessing the flavor is not good either as my dog would spit them out too. Waste of time and money. I just threw them away!

My pup really enjoys the VetriScience dental Perio Plus so I thought I would give these treat pockets a try. He does enjoy them but they are not easy to use. They came mashed into a big ball and now in order to use them I have to pull them apart and a lot of the time have to create my own pocket. If they are going to be soft they need a different packaging process or less susceptible to this mashing. Don't think I'll buy these again until something is fixed with this. I had to carefully pull these apart to see if they'll stay this way.

Bought these for my heeler mix that has to have Benadryl daily. For that purpose, they are perfect! I can put 1-2 in a treat and give it to her and she takes it no problem. She’s allergic to chicken and finding pill treats that don’t contain chicken is a whole chore, and the ones I have tried were kind of costly. These are chicken-free and much more cost effective than everything else I’ve used.BUT! If you need to give pills much bigger than a Benedryl, I don’t know how well they’d work. They are somewhat soft and seem to be moldable, so I’d assume you could cram a larger pill in, but you would have to mold it around the pill. They are thicker so there is treat to work with in that case I feel like, but be prepared for that. I like that the bag is resealable and the treats aren’t wrapped individually, as that got annoying having to unwrap 2 every day with other brands. They are soft without being too mushy, but they aren’t crumbly either in my experience. I’m on the second bag of these now.

I tried these to give my 100# German Shepherd Claritin for allergies. I chose these because we are avoiding chicken and most other products have chicken in them. These are pretty stiff and really hard to get a pill in and mold it around the pill. My dog didn't really like the flavor or texture. He would spit it out if I didn't watch him closely.

I have been looking for something to put my dog's allergy pills in that has NO chicken and I finally found it!!These things are great and with my shihtzu I just tear one of these things in half and put the little pill in one half! They are soft and pliable enough to cover his medication easily. The big thing is he LOVES them!!So easy to do and I love it!! These are very cost efficient because I get double the amount since I break them in half.So much better than getting peanut butter all over my fingers to give him his pills!!No complaints at all. If I have any issues or anything I will definitely update my review but so far so good!!

These "pinchers" are probably too small for some capsules and definitely too small for 100 mg Trazodone tablets, but the only pills my dogs take are Zyzal (an antihistamine) and I can't imagine any other pill hider that could work better. I've tried four different brands and the others have all been either too expensive, too greasy, too melty in the summer, or, somehow unsatisfactory. Even the most expensive brands sometimes break and do not hold pills properly. My dogs don't hesitate to gobble these down and they never spit out the pills. I'm glad I finally discovered them.
