Cliff Keen Headgear

I start wearing it to protect my ears two years ago. The gear is easy to adjust.The important thing is that I do not get too much complain from my rolling partners when I am wearing it.The gear is very easy to clean with water and soap.

Unlike some other ear guards, like the old clam shells, that basically just press against your ear to immobilize it; these ear guards have a little pocket for your ear to go into and roam freely. This makes it much more comfortable.The picture makes it look like they may be a little too thick and interfere with squeezing your head through tight places, but I've found them to be no worse than any other ear guards in that respect.The straps are nylon with velco which I have found to be just as secure as the plastic kind, but a little more comfy.All in all a very good product.

Great fit. No slipping so far after about 2 months training. It has prevented the return of my cauliflower ear. As a beginner I am constantly in bad positions with a lot of pressure on the head from some big strong folks. The gear does the job very well protecting my ears. I don't notice I have it on anymore during training as it is very comfortable. Hearing is not affected. Ventilation is sufficient. Easy to clean. Glad I purchased.Some of my training partners have complained that the gear bothers them because the outside shell is hard. They do not wear head gear.

I'm a green-belt in BJJ, so I get chocked quite often....more often than I like. But my ears don't hurt anymore at the end of class thanks to Cliff Keen F3 Twister.It fits really well, and is quite comfortable. It was shipped and arrived on time.The only complaint I have, and why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the forehead strap. It is an adjustable velcro deal that works as designed. However, because it folds over itself, the corners of the flaps scratch my head. But it is tolerable and I am happy with headgear.

I use these for brazilian jiu jitsu. For the most part, they are comfortable and protect my ears. Sometimes they slip off, but that's to be somewhat expected unless you tighten them to the point of strangulation.My only "issue" is that some people have a problem rolling with me because they say the gear hurts them. Not sure the logic behind them having no issue with getting cauliflower, but not liking a little pressure from the headgear on them when I roll with them. But that's more a knock on the people than the actual head gear.Overall, I'd give it an A+.

Best head gear I've ever owned (wish I had these in high school during my wrestling days). Use it now for Brazilian jiu jitsu and I don't even know it's on so it's comfortable (how often can you seriously say that about head gear)? Easy to adjust and clean (I just throw it in the washer after training and then air dry it). Ears are well protected after I had 3 ear drainings and 4 stitches. Training partners don't have a problem with it.

Bought this product because I was starting to get cauliflower ear during MMA grappling gi and no gi sessions; this item protected the sensitivity/pain that I was experiencing and I was therefore able to grapple/train just as usual without any interference to myself or my training partners. It is very comfortable, didn't even notice it's presence while I was rolling. While receiving impacts agains the ear, I didn't even notice that I was being impacted. I would highly recommend this to anyone that cares about their appearance and does not want to get cauliflower ear while training.

I've been using this now for a few weeks, after trying some softer headgear for a while - it was too floppy and hot, always sliding around and just didn't offer much protection. The Cliff Keen F3 is fantastic, way better. Fits well, protects well. I honestly forget I have it on. And it offers way better protection than what I had before. Don't be deterred by how bulky it looks in the photos here, it's actually pretty low profile.
