Hygloss Steel Hand Bell

I bought this for my niece for Christmas a few years ago, because for whatever reason, all a 5-year-old wanted was "a school bell." It's a LOT louder and sturdier than you would think. Not THE best quality you'd find, but for the money, well worth it and then some. It could no doubt be used as a "summons bell" for the ailing or even to train animals as I've used it for (horses, dogs, certain kinds of birds).As I said, I bought it for her years ago, and it held up until it was "lost" during the only "cleaning" her mother's ever done in her life. She was equally delighted to receive a shiny new replacement! This should be the #1 toy for kids whose parents you either dislike or are otherwise overdue some vengeance for being a pain in the ass when you were kids.

After a recent family member illness, we realized we very much needed a bell for the sick room to make the patient heard. I begin looking for something that had a good, clear sound that could be heard easily from other rooms, but wasn't so big a weak patient couldn't lift and use easily. After reading the other reviewers, I settled on this one and am glad I did. When it arrived, it was just what I wanted. It is small and light weight, but with a fairly loud, very clear sound. I think I made the right purchase. I feel better knowing it is on hand in case of any future illness or situation when an alarm signal might be needed.

In all seriousness I needed a bell because I was undergoing a tonsillectomy and didn't want to strain my throat. The bell is just that... a bell! It has a nice handle and is loud enough to be heard through a home if necessary. Seems like good quality; my only gripe is that I believe at the current purchase price it is too much. You could find this bell at the .99 cent stores in your neighborhood. When the product arrived and I had to tear it out of the cheap cellophane baggy, I instantly regretted paying anything over the three-dollar mark.Recommend if you need a bell. Do not know of it's longevity as of today. Do not over pay!

I bought this bell for my grandfather. We have a very spacious two-story home and it can sometimes be difficult to hear when he calls out for assistance. The bell is very lightweight and of good size. The sound is incredibly loud, which makes it perfect for him and our house. It can be heard from the second floor as well as the backyard. I highly recommend this for anyone with an older adult in the house.

There is not much to say about this bell, past the fact that my expectations were dashed when I saw the true size of the bell, but that is OK. The bell works just fine and looks fine, but do not be expecting a giant bell or anything fancy. In any case, this is a fine bell. 8/10--though I am not a bell grader, I do see fine Chinese(?, though I am unsure of that assumption, I would bet 10$ that it was in fact made in China) craftsmanship and I can appreciate it.

Getting married soon and purchased these little bells for our combined grandchildren to ring before I walk up the aisle. For the most part, they arrived in good condition and looked like the picture indicated. My colours are black and silver so they are perfect and just the right size for tiny hands. Unfortunately, 2 of the bells arrived in poor condition but I have been able to fix/repair them so that they are suitable for the wedding. The issues could have easily been caught by a quality control inspection, either when the bell was assembled and again during the individual packaging. Overall, these bells were very inexpensive and good quality for the money.

My wife bought me this to use after I had surgery to notify her if I needed assistance. The bell is cute, small and wow is it loud for its size. I mean what can you say...? A bell should be loud when rang and this one is. My only negative comment is the handle quality could be better...it is a bit cheaply made.But, all in all, it is a good solid little product.

I teach a class of about 20 students. I often have them work in groups and sometimes they get a little into their discussions and have a hard time getting back to the rest of the class. This bell is LOUD. I use it inside a carrying case I have for it and it makes just enough sound to get everyone's attention. The size is just perfect for fitting into my school bag.
