I have a youtube channel for kayaking and camping. I use this yakattack pan fish pro and recently bought the shorter version for my tsunami 125. I have used the panfish pro in that kayak a lot but it's a bit of overkill for front mount. If I get a second gopro then I'd use the panfish as a second mount on the rear of the kayak. It works great for my other sit on top kayaks. It comes off easily for grabbing underwater shots. I was in weeki wachee last year and came upon a pod of manatees and was able to get some incredible footage. the quality is amazing. I've had to reach out to yakattack with questions about other gear before and they are a fantastic company. top tier customer service. I have a lot of their products. They did not pay me to write this and I don't work for them. I just love their gear.

Good little action action holder for kayak. It is good for water level views. If you want the above view you need a taller pole.

I like YakAttack products and ordered the Pan Fish Pro from an Amazon affiliate The Jogger. The first box arrived literally destroyed. Even had a hole in it large enough to take the PFP out of. When I picked up the PFP it rattled and I was certain that do to the incredibly poor packaging (no padding at all in the box), that it must have been damaged. I took it back and received a replacement in quick time. The problem is that the replacement was either used or shop worn, the tag at the end of the plastic bag it comes in was separate and just thrown in the box. The item actually had fingerprints all over it, so nothing "new" about this item. Worse off, it also rattled. I had no way to get in touch with the affiliate that I could find so I determined to call YakAttack. This is the mostly great part. Their customer service is really top notch. They called me back and had me test several facets and movements of the PFP. Ultimately it was determined that the rattling sound is cause by the small metal drill shavings where they drill the holes in the midsection that allow it to rotate. It is these small metal shavings that I hear rattling around inside. I was very happy with the customer service I received. Although if the manufacture process included avoiding leaving the metal bits in the tube, I would not have needed to return the first item. Great item though and kudos to YakAttack. I would not however recommend the affiliate that sold this through Amazon in the first place.

I would highly recommend this camera pole to anyone that is looking for a very sturdy mount. It comes with a small ram mount so you can position the camera in any way you would like. It's a bit pricey. But you are getting quality. I use this on my side by side mounted in the back to record over the roof and on my kayak to record my fishing trips. No issues at all. I love the quick release mount. If your looking for a longer small-camera pole. This is hands down the best one.

These work great, the hold their position, this is the second one I purchased. Great for a second or third camera where you don't need it full height like you would get from a longer stick, but hight enough not to get footage of the deck of your kayak or water level.
