Cool little chop-saw.
It's cool. A little bit cheezy but that was expected at this price point. The back fence thingy is useless so I made my own for it. much better. not a whole lot of blade gets used but I just put those on a regular handheld grinder. I just have it on the back of the workbench And if I need to cut-off smaller metal parts it's ready to go. Great for making small brackets or small stock metal.

Sturdy base. Should work well.
Haven't finished puting it together yet but I can tell this is worth it. Heavy. I thought there was a grinder in it! Operation is smooth. Should work great for cutting metal for welding up for car repair.

It's ...ok................ But......
It's not super useful. I set it up with my skil cordless angle grinder, and it took some fiddling to get it to go up and down properly and consistently, which is to be expected. It's a stand made for a lot of different tools, so of course it's gonna take some adjustments. However like most reviews stated, there's too much leeway where the arm of the tool rotates; they don't use ball bearings, but instead very thin molded plastic. As a consequence, it moves around a bit if you push one way or another and doesn't give good cut repeatability. It's also relatively easy to fix; I solved that issue by adding in some UHMW plastic tape in between to help. But I shouldn't have to do that. There's also the clamping mechanism. To rotate the inner clamp part requires WAY too much pressure out of the box. Reason? They painted the parts. If you take some sandpaper or a file and remove some of it from the "round" piece, it'll slide around a bit more easily. Adding some oil to every moving part also does a GREAT deal for ease of use. I shouldn't have to do this. The angle gauge thing is almost useless; it's fiddly, and requires multiple adjustments and re-checking and double checking over and over to ensure that you are indeed 45 degrees or whatever. I shouldn't have to do that.It's... A stand. It's cheaply made, but it does technically work if you put a little work into it. Just don't expect it to work properly out of the box, unless you want sloppy cuts.My opinion? Save a little more money, and get an actual chop saw instead of fiddling with one of these things. Or! Get a miter saw, and get one of those steel cutting blades. Or one of the diamond edged blades for steel. There's a lot of different ways to do what this stand does, but 16000% better. If you only have around $30, then sure, it's technically something. Two stars, because it does *technically* work. The stand does seem to be cast iron. Etc.
