As long as you have a pair crimping pliars designed for the job, working with stainless wire and crimps is quick, safe and easy. The stainless wire does not rust and can be used for many things around the house. This project was to mount a stainless basket over an existing humming bird nest that has been used several times. The last family was attacked by crows. The stainless basket will protect future humming birds from the crows.

I coupled these American Fishing Wire .096 diameter (600lb) Crimps with some AFW 600lb snap swivels and some AFW 600lb cable to make a bunch of monster leaders perfect for gator snagging.As a test I rigged a bar bell with 300lbs of weight and lifted the entire thing off the ground with my Penn Carnage CARJGII80200S60 rod rigged with a Penn SSV10500 real and 400lb test braided Dyneema line.The crimps worked perfectly.

If you're looking for good round crimping sleeves, these certainly do the job. I've been using the AFW version on some stiff rigs I'm making for wahoo and other toothy gamefish. They do a fine job on both mono and cable. Just be sure to get the size right and squeeze the crimp firmly so that it presses the leader material against itself. Good strong connection.

Sticker shock on the crimping tool that is specified for these sleeves, so I squeezed the sleeves in a bench vise instead.Using sleeves with 1/8" wire rope thimbles and .105" diameter string trimmer line as permanent hauling line for wire dipole antennas. Tough, durable. Priced right for the application.

AFW sleeves and crimps perform well in the hard fishing environment off the North Carolina coast. When crimped correctly, they hold tight and don't weaken the line, wire or mono leader.

The crimps are fine, they are good quality, but the bag they came in is very cheap and opened itself during shipping. I you buy this, request better packaging.

I decided to start making my own halibut rigs this year. Great product, crimps easy and holds great. Just wish it was made in the USA.
