Perfect - Quiet, efficient
My company gave me an actual ROLEX watch, and I was surprised how quickly it would "die" if you don't wear it enough. It's self-winding, but that requires it actually be in motion, and since I don't wear it a lot, it would often be dead when I put it on, and I would have to set the time, AND stem-wind it.This solution is very quiet, it gently rotates the watch periodically, and it's ALWAYS ready to go when I take it out of the case. No more manual winding and setting the time.I have to laugh, though, that I had to buy a $49 device to keep a $12,000 watch wound!

Quiet and effective
I got one of these single watch winders a short while ago to keep an Orient Mako II automatic watch wound at all times. This little watch winder is great. I have it right next to my bed on the nightstand, and mine is absolutely quiet. I tried running it on batteries, and it worked great for about a week before the batteries gave out, so I just use the power cord. If you want to keep your automatic watch wound and running, this is a great choice, especially if you don't have many watches. If you have multiple mechanical watches and want to keep them all on a watch winder, you might want to consider other winders that hold more watches, but this device is perfect for my needs. I would definitely buy one again... and at this price point, I don't expect it to last forever, so I probably will when this one wears out. Inexpensive winders like these often wear out quickly, but for the money, they are very well worth it.

Quiet Watch Winder
I have two kinetic watches. This didn't seem to work on my SEIKO ARTURA Kinetic but after reading the instructions, the watch should be fully wound before using... so don't expect to use this on a watch you haven't worn for months. Wear your watch like you normally would, get it would back up and running and then put it on your winder nightly. Works great. My other watch - a cheapo from wish - worked from a dead stop. When I checked, the second watch has a completely different winding mechanism which probably explains why it worked immediately. In any case, all of these winders work roughly the same - with a slow and reversing rotation. A watch that doesn't wind is probably not the fault of this device. The device itself is quiet and reliable.UPDATE: STILL 5 Stars. I was surprised to discover that my SEIKO has a capacitor that is charged by the kinetic device and over time, the capacitor needs to be replaced... just worth noting.

Works
Rotates approximately every 6 seconds for 2 minutes. shuts off for 6 minutes and then rotates the opposite way for 2 minutes . . . Works. And it can work on batteries. Only reasons for not giving it 5 stars is the minimal 30 -DAY warranty and the strange admonition that you cannot leave batteries in when it is plugged in:"[USE WARNING】As this watch winder is powered by battery or AC power socket, when you are using the battery, please ensure that you have totally taken out the adapter from the device."But it does seem to work and is relatively quiet.

Looks Nice, Runs very Quite
I've had it couple days now, looks nice, very quite. Reading some of the reviews that they had failed quickly on them, it may be but I would highly recommend putting this on a good surge protector strip or plug right from first startup. These small devices are very vulnerable to power issues. It's usually the power plug transformer that fails, so just order replacement or get one that is adjustable multipurpose. Most big box stores carry these type of AC adapter cords. The device is usually unaffected and fine it's the transformer that takes the hit. You cannot see it in your power when it happens, Brown out or power surge normally happens unnoticed. I would only use battery in travel when electric power not available using quality batteries.

Very quiet
Hard to know that this thing ever works if you do not look at it. Extremely quiet, and if not for the watch mysteriously changing orientation every now and again, you would not be aware it is running. It does spend more time resting than winding, but does work as advertised. Sides of the box line up and it appears well made.. Very happy thus far.

Good purchase!
I’ve had it for three days and it works fine with my Rolex. It turns clockwise for 2 minutes, rests for 6 minutes and turns counterclockwise for 2, constantly until I turn it off in the morning. It’s not noisy, I have it on my dresser so the soft whirling sound is unnoticeable. So far, so good. They could improve the finishing look, though, but, for the price, I can’t complain.
