Nothing Wrong With Product, But Will Not Work With Wyze Solar Panel and Wyze Battery Cam
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this product. It's well-made and all that.I was trying to find a substitute to connect my Wyze Solar Panel (which has a mini USB male plug) with my Wyze Battery Cam (which has a USB C female receptacle). I did this because Wyze charges a LOT for their adapter (which should ship with the solar panel, but doesn't, at least not in any of the ones I bought). On top of that, Wyze has a hard time keeping them in stock. So, I thought this might be a good, affordable solution. The plastic surrounding the USB-C plug on this product is too big to reach all the way into the Wyze Battery Cam.Plan foiled. Drat.

Works as advertised
I will be doing some time lapse photography on the Oregon Coast. With these adapters and using the condo wiring as Ethernet (see this link)(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08M13B8B6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1I can control the DSLR completely from inside. ... no hit and miss WiFi for me!!

Great for what they're for, just don't use TOO much force
These little doodads are gonna come in handy someday! That day was not the day I needed them, but only because the cable I wanted to use them on was...weird, custom and stupid. In the process of not knowing that, I found out that you can just kinda...push the casing right off of these? It's not likely to happen by accident unless you really REALLY don't want to look at what you're doing while connecting these to the micro-usb cables. When the micro-usb cables are normal and not WCS, these adapters are a pretty snug fit, and the fact that they're fabric wrapped instead of plastic coated means the connecting point shouldn't mess up anything any time soon.If you're like me and sometimes grab the wrong cable out of the rat king's worth of cables you have, having these around might save you from a 5% battery and the wrong charging cable.

converter to reuse older cables
The USB-C and micro USB ports fit well. The flexibility is nice feature. I was able to repurpose some old micro USB cables to charge my device. On my phone I measured about 250 mA of charging (via Ampere app). I would not expect fast charging on this but it will make old cables functional enough to allow you to charge devices overnight or keep something powered.Depending on your use case these could work and repurpose cables you already have.Durability TBD (as of March 2, 2024).

Best for converting long runs of micro USB cable to a USB C Device
It is highly useful for converting long runs of micro USB cable to a USB C Device. Just be mindful that the gasket on the connector may prevent proper seating.

Can’t charge Wyze Battery Cam Pro
I bought two 2 packs of these adapters to charge/power my 4 Wyze Battery Cam Pro units and they just don’t work. Any and all cables you can find that are long to charge or power your Wyze units are all USB Micro, but the Battery Cam Pro is USB C. I bought this with the expectation that it would pass the juice from a solar panel or from a wall outlet to the camera, and it fell short. I even went above and beyond and use wire heat shrink wrap to weather seal the USB Micro side of the adapter assuming the adapter would work and if you don’t know anything about wire heat shrink wrap, it hard after it’s been heat shrunk and there’s an adhesive that bonds the inside of the wrap to the inner bits of what you’re shrink wrapping so it’s weather sealed. It’s brilliant - until you need to methodically cut and peel the wrap off due to a faulty adapter. I had to climb back up two ladders with a utility knife and pliers to cut and peel the wire wrap without damaging the usb micro male end of the long wire to remove this faulty adapter.I'm sure it probably fine in low power applications where whatever you are adapting to needs 5v 1a or less, by my cameras need 2a to charge and these adapters just don’t cut it.They also feel super cheap. Sure, they’re woven wires so they’re super flexible, but the connector ends have super thin aluminum sleeves that “cover” the connector bits that are super flimsy. I read some reviews saying the usb c end just pulled completely out and I goffed at the review when I bought these, but I for sure can believe that happening because one of the ends completely fell apart as I was trying to remove the heat shrink wrap.
