Works Well
Works just like you'd hope a bar of soap would. I didn't find this soap doing anything more than my old bars did. I won't knock them for it, other than the price. This stuff is kind of pricey, considering this is just soap. I'll say it's kind of nice that this is supposedly a more natural style of soap. I'm not a huge fan of using stuff that can potentially cause damage down the line. As far as this soap goes, it went on well, and washed/rinsed well. I didn't notice any grimy feeling afterwards, or anything like that. The scent was pleasant enough, though nothing to write home about. It's soap and it works. Now is this some special soap worth spending extra on? Not really.

Love the Scent
The description states: " Our plant-based pheromone boosters help get you prepped and may help make you be more attractive to others.". I have been married nearly 50 years, and after I read this I laughed. This soap does have a nice scent and lathers well. There is, however, no way I would pay $19.00, the current price, for 2 bars of soap.

Nice soap.
I like this soap because it cleans well, rinses off easily, and it doesn't have an overpowering scent despite containing peppermint and eucalyptus oils. I like those two oils but only when presented in moderation. So 👍 to Alister for striking a good balance. As expected from a specialty soap, I like that these are made of natural and healthy ingredients that are good for the skin. 5 stars.

Get's the Job Done
After ordering this soap, someone kindly pointed me in the direction of an article about Alister founder, Dan Bilzerian, which referred to him as "...an avatar of toxic masculinity." I will admit, in the Alister ads Bilzerian does bear more than a passing resemblance to Taylor Swift's obnoxious character in her "The Man" video. However, after reading the article and discovering that he's also hawking concealer for men, I must respectfully disagree with that assessment. Anyone who lets men know that they should put in more effort to make themselves attractive to the opposite sex (the way women have been doing since time immemorial) is A-OK by me.So...on to the soap. For the record, I thought the brand name was pronounced like the name "Alistair," as opposed to "A-Lister," which I find a bit cringe-y, but no matter. This is a decent bar of soap that lathers well and rinses clean. While it doesn't contain any charcoal, it's a masculine black that looks very stylish in the soapdish. When I first opened the packaging, it had a pretty strong peppermint/rosemary aroma but after the first use it faded away almost completely leaving behind a mild clay-like scent. It's almost as if the fragrance was just an oil applied to the surface of the soap that washed away immediately. So if you don't care for heavily fragranced skincare, this will probably work fine for you. But I was disappointed. As for the claim that it's infused with [trademarked] "Pheroboost," I can only say that my husband and I are sharing the bar and he seems no sexier to me after emerging from the shower than he did before. But we've been married for 25 years, so all you guys out there, your mileage may vary.

Interesting soap with an unusual scent!
I've never seen soap quite this pitch black before. It's a cool look! I got this for my sons, and they were quite impressed with the appearance of the soap. They also liked the scent a lot. We all agreed there was a small amount of almost smoky scent to this---hard to identify but quite pleasant. I liked the list of ingredients and was pleased this isn't tested on amimals. However, it's pretty pricey, and as soap, it's, well, soap. It lathers up fairly well and cleans just fine, but I don't think it leaves any scent on the skin or does more for the skin than cheaper soap. So you are paying for good ingredients, for a nice look and an interesting scent, and it's up to you whether that's worth it to you!

BS Soap!!
Rip-off!! Little to no scent. No pheromones, false advertisement at its best. What a waste of money, not happy!!
