Outdoor connection covers
Got this product. They were sturdy and of good quality however I had to return them as they were too bulky to fit where I needed to place them (top of the fence). Still 5 stars.

A Little Rainwater, But No Biggie
So far, I've used just one of these in the same location, but in very different weather conditions. First, the cover was used to protect the connection of an extension cord to an outdoor timer for Christmas lights. In my neck of the woods, winters aren't extremely harsh, but while the cover was in use, temperatures dropped below freezing at night. The cover did not crack, like something made from cheap plastic might have. The plastic is sturdy, and the snap closure on top of the unit snaps VERY securely. After the holidays were over, the unit was taken out of service until May, when I began using it to connect to a garden spotlight. Cue the torrential rain! Well actually, the drenching began in April, and there were many thunderstorms during the summer that included pounding rain. Yesterday, since I wanted to move my spotlight, I had to open up the cover to unplug it. It had rained recently, and I noticed a little bit of water inside; roughly half a teaspoon. There might have been a lot more to begin with that was lost by evaporation in the 85 degree heat, but either way, it was no biggie. I'm certain the amount of rainwater that could enter would never be enough to reach the level of contact with the cords. If that was possible, it would have occurred during a period of heavy rainfall, and tripped the circuit breaker. That didn't happen, so the way I see it, the cover passed the "monsoon" test!

Leaks a little but better than the competition
I have six of these, mainly used for decorations, and they always have at least a bit of water in them. I will say, if you get it set up just right (usually only two thick cords together) sometimes they stay dry. I'm guessing some of the water still seeps in from braided cables (ie xmas lights). Still, I also bought another brand and those have almost always were filled with water so these are definitely better than that. I wish I could find something that kept the connection 100% dry but these are the best of the worst so far.

Works as expected
I bought this for the connection between an extension cord and a yard light for my Christmas decorations. It works as expected. When I took down the decorations today it was completely dry on the inside. Glad to have this for future needs as well.

Great product!
These covers were just what I needed. Every year I was concerned about my Christmas lights shortening out due to the wet weather and possible snow. So, this year I decided to get these outdoor cord protectors and using them were a breeze.

Still not sure
These are very hard to open when you first get them. I was happy about that because I thought they work really well. After the first rain the inside of mine were wet so I don’t know if it is because I did not close them right or the seals are really not that great. We have had a dry spell so I have not they have not been tested anymore.
