I don't really trust off-brand HEPA filters, but I have no problem with off-brand charcoal/carbon prefilters. So I save money on these great generic carbon pre-filters and splurge on the OEM HEPA filters for my BlueAir 300. Love these and they work and fit just fine. No need to spend the money for the real McCoy.

The material covers all of the filter opening, mine was sliding down but I just tucked the carbon pre filter under the little tab at the bottom of the white filter. That holds it in place nicely. This is a pre-filter (before the main filter) unlike the BlueAir brand filters that have the carbon filter built in which are post or after the main filter (closer to the fan) I'm not sure if the location of the carbon filter will make a big difference or not to how effective it is.

I bought as a replacement for the Honeywell HPA300 pre-filter (which is identical in size). This replacement is as thick as the OEM pre-filter that came with the Honeywell (!!). The pre-filter is U.S. made, noticeably high quality (not a thin, cheap import like most of the replacements) and functions very, very well. I am extremely happy with this product.

Saves money as it captures dust and large particles, been using these for a year for the Blueair Classic 203. You can rinse every couple months (dust will be visible) and extend the life, though rinsing will wash some carbon out every time. Way cheaper than frequent full filter replacement.

These filters work great as a prefilter to help keep the HEPA filters clean, But as far as the carbon part they fail miserably. I dont notice it removing any odors that it was advertised as. If it has any carbon at all its just carbon dust.

Bought it twice, it’s good to absorb the odor and extended the life of the main filter.

Installed for an hour the chemical smell worsened my asthma instantly, left it for a little bit to see if it would pass, with no luck, the chemical affect so severe after running on high windows open hours later the chemical affect still remains, not sure I can sleep in my room tonight because how bad it is. The smell is NOT a charcoal smell either. Do NOT Buy this product!!!!!!!!
