I have bought the standard Bamboo torches for years, this summer I almost burned down our deck and house when one of them caught on fire when the wind blew the flame too many times on the bamboo. To make things worse, it had a plastic bottle inside for the oil, I thought that was great when I bought them Since they can't rust - they can however melt... When that happens you have a burning waterfall of dripping fire all over your deck. I bought these pandora I must say I am very pleased and impressed. They are very sturdy, they have an ingenious refilling system that takes away the inevitable spilling when using the normal tikki tourches. They come with a clever lid that has three magnets to hold it in place during the strongest of winds The flame is also much larger and give a much richer light late at night when we sit and have dinner outside. I believe these will hold up a long time and not cost more per year than the cheap bamboo type. However, I have only had them one season so I don't know how well they will hold up. They still look brand new after one season in New England

These are so much better than the cheaper ones that need to be filled via the wick, it gives soot all over your hands. The Tiki has a port to easily open to fill without all the soot on your hands
