Well....
Pros:It finally got my dark brown hair to have a deep plum purple that I've been trying to obtain for months now. The color is perfect and I get a lot of compliments on it.Doesn't smell horrid.Goes on easily. It's nice a thick so dripping wasn't an issue.Cons:Well...it stains. (Obviously) I know they all stain, but OMG, this stains something awful. You know how you can rinse your hair in the shower and normal dye will rinse off the tile and your body pretty easily since you're standing under a decent flow of water? Yeah, this doesn't do that. I had purple skin from head to toe that I had to SCRUB off. Plain soap and a bath puff did NOT remove a darn thing. Do not exfoliate before dying your hair; you will need that extra layer of skin for when you have to scrub it off. I had to use the rough side of a dish sponge and that hurt after awhile. I ended up using bleach on my skin as well as the shower. Bleach took it right out, thank god...I really didn't want to have to re-grout the tile or go to work looking like Grimace. Bleach is an absolute MUST for this product. Also, I would wash my hair in a sink or outside with a hose, not the shower. It keeps staining. While I appreciate it's long life on my hair, I do not appreciate that when I run my fingers through my hair, my hand is purple. My neck is purple EVERY DAY. My clothes are purple. This stuff keeps rubbing off and I obviously wash it! It's summer and I can't put my hair up because I always have purple skin. I just tried a vinegar rinse which is supposed to stop that, so we'll see. I also shampooed my hair twice last night to see if that helps. Honestly, if you're going to use this, don't dye the underside of your hair.If I can get the purple to stop rubbing off, I would use this product again. Otherwise, I'll have to come up with something else.

Amazing color and bathroom staining abilities
I've used Manic Panic for three years but was getting tired of their color selections and mixing colors never resulted in what I wanted so I did some searching and decided to try La Riche. I bought the Dark Tulip and I absolutely love it! I have medium blonde hair that I bleached then applied the dye. The roots where I had just bleached were more of a bright pink and the middle/ends where it was previously bleached are a darker shade, like a deep cherry. I didn't have any difficulties applying it, the consistency is much like Manic Panic. I thought it was interesting though that it said it only needed to be left on for 15 minutes. I'm used to the longer times of Manic Panic so I didn't fully believe 15 minutes was enough. I probably left it on for about 25.The only con so far is how long it's taking to rinse out of my hair. I bleached my roots Tuesday. Dyed it Wednesday. It is so hot outside and I was sweating pink (which happens with Manic Panic too at first) so Thursday I sat in the shower for 10-15 minutes with my head forward just rinsing my hair and I am still sweating pink on Friday. Like I've said, I've been dying my hair for three years and I take precautions to not get dye all over the bathroom but let me tell you, this got everywhere. It stains almost instantly. Just rinsing my gloves off in the sink, any drop of diluted dye water left a stain even when I washed it away immediately. My tub is pink. I have NEVER had this happen before. I have an outdoor wedding tomorrow, I need this to stop!I'll update later when it starts to fade.

Very impressed and will probably buy again
I couldn't find a US brand that had the purple color I wanted so I investigated La Riche Directions. I ordered the colors Lagoon Blue and Violet (Lagoon Blue from another seller) and Violet came earlier than expected! I dyed one half of my head Lagoon Blue and one half Violet. I left the color in for about 45 minutes total, a bit longer on the Lagoon Blue side because I covered that side first. After rinsing out the dye I dried it with a white towel and there was no color bleeding!! I was very impressed by that. There was no strong chemical smell, no itchiness or discomfort. My hair was very blonde on top and darker near the bottom, and as expected it was very vibrant on top and less so near the bottom. One observation I do have is Lagoon Blue looks more like La Riche's "Turquoise" dye and Violet looks more like their "Tulip" dye. This doesn't bother me but if you want a cooler purple color you may have to mix it with a blue color. It will stain your hands unless you wash them immediately after touching. There was no color stain in my bathtub with these colors after rinsing. So far there has been no color residue on my pillowcase either. I will update after the first wash. Overall my hair feels great and looks better!!! UPDATE: Several washes later and the color is still going strong! There is still no color residue in my bathtub, on my towels, or my pillowcase.

Works Great For Price
This worked great to turn my medium blonde hair to a rose-gold color (using some white conditioner to dilute it). It only lasted a few washes maybe 3-8, but I am still happy. I tried another rose gold hair option that was over 50$ and did not show up at all, and the professional hair dresser who tried to put in rose gold made it so you could not even see them. Consequently, this gave me the best results AND it was by far the cheapest option. It does not really come with directions, but after watching a youtube video to confirm it worked like every other hair color (which it does), I was able to easily apply this on myself (remember to wear gloves!). I waited 5-15 minutes and achieved my desired "rose gold" hair. Pleased overall!

best damn hair dye around
you just can't go wrong with la riche. I am known for having bright blue hair all year long. I touch up my blue once or twice a year. that's all it takes. other than my roots of course. wash my hair once a week and the blue stays and fades to a lighter blue shade, not a yucky purple or green like most brands *ahem* manic panic. ewww. sorry.it helps to dye on freshly bleached hair. the colour will stick on forever. I touched up my blue after a year over the old faded blue and it faded twice as fast compared when I dyed on freshly bleached, so keep that in mind if you want that forever blue!

Great colour. Bad colour bleeding!
I used Rubine mixed with a good dollop of Rose Red. My hair is light brown with very light blonde natural streaks and I have bleach on my lengths.I like Directions and Crazy Color for fun colour changes. I find Directions less runny, so chose it this time for a messy red colour change!Easy to apply. I do it on damp hair with gloves, like applying a thorough conditioning mask, just because I hate messing about with brushes etc. I combed it through and piled on top my head and out a shower cap on. Left for about half an hour.I got a lovely shiny rich burgundy on the light brown parts and bright, deep fuchsia on my bleached lengths and lighter bits. HOWEVER, the water NEVER ran remotely clear and the colour was coming off on everything...clothes, bedding, face.Despite liking the colour I washed it about 8 times over a few days with dandruff shampoo to try and get the excess leaking colour off (maybe used too much colour? 🤷🏽♀️).The darker parts have faded a fair bit, and the excess dye on my scalp has gone, the ends remain vibrant fuchsia. The transfer of colour has stopped a bit, but I still get some staining on clothes and bedding and the water is bright pink when I wash my hair. So, the colour and shine is gorgeous. I got a nice even result (I knew my bleached ends would be mega bright of course) However, I could only whole heartedly recommend if you never a) ☔ get caught in the rain b) ⛹️♀️work up a sweat c) 🏊♀️ swim d) like nice bedding. At the moment I have to carefully choose my clothing and activities! It's worth saying that most of this excess colour is probably coming from my bleached lengths as it's more porous of course, and if your hair is all previoisly undyed it probably won't be quite so dramatic. The dye does come off fairly well from most things btw, eventually, but don't risk your best white anything for goodness sake!!If you don't go into the great outdoors/swim and never intend on getting sweaty, then no problem! 😉Please tap "Helpful" ⬇️ if my review has been useful or interesting.Thank you! 🙂 Makes me feel I'm not completely talking to myself here 😂All my reviews are genuine and I always update them if I have any issues further down the line with the item.Consumer power! 💪How do we know if something's any good unless genuine people leave reviews?

Macht was es soll

Great hair colour, use it all the time.
I usually use lilac and dip dye my ends with pink, but decided to go up to the roots this time. I have naturally grey hair and this covers it wonderfully, ready easy to blend colours In to each other. I used pink hair drops mixed with conditioner from another make on the top, and used the new Wisteria colour on my ends, it's a really pale grey purple, almost like a toner so had to go over again with Antique Mauve, still a really pale pastel purple which is what I wanted this time, when I want a vibrant purple I go for Lilac, it's a stunning colour. This brand never disappoints,
