Well packaged and works well for my purpose. Exactly as advertised. It's really handy to be able to dial in the motor speed with the knob. The control with the knob is very smooth and seems like high quality.

Nice little motor and controller, using it with 3 18650 cells to power a Leslie tremelo rotary speaker. Works amazingly!

This dc motor and controller seem to work well. I bought this item to try to retrofit it into a 100 year old vibraphone. Although the quality and assembly is pretty good, technical data is lacking- there is no documentation provided. The speed pot goes from 0 to about 1700 RPM, well under the 3000 specified. I measured this with a cheap tachometer also bought here. Not sure about accuracy but in this app it doesnt matter since the typical speed of vibraphone tremolo is typically in the range of 1 to 12 RPM. I think the little 3-pin connector is for external speed control, so I'm hoping I can set up the pot for the desired range. Does anyone know where to get tech data for the controller? Do you have to remove the on-board pot for external control?Update- after checking RPM more carefully I find that the max speed is actually about 3100. I verified that the connector corresponds to the 3 legs of the potentiometer. I would upgrade to 5 stars if they added documentation or at least a link.

A good little generator

Controller works great. Motor gets awfully hot at rated power though. Don't see it lasting too long. POT does not have "off" position and theres no power switch either. Not necessarily a problem but would have liked to know that

Could have a better description with torque information.Failed on first project do to description,But have use on second project.

To weak for props

I bought this for a prototype machine I was building in my machine shop. The motor is well built and the speed controller works well.
