Toontrack The Rock Warehouse SDX

This is my new favorite SDX! It mixes a very large room sound with a good selection of punchy and crystal clear close microphones. There is a good variety of ambience microphones and it is helpful that there are four extra cymbal close microphones separate from the overhead channel. The kick drum and snare drum selection is great and they are some of the best samples I have heard from any such program so far. This room sounds so good that I could easily see this working for applications in lighter music and not just for rock. The drums sit very well in my test mixes so far and can be sculpted without needing very much editing. Also, some of the included factory presets are actually pretty useful for getting a little more processed and ready sound right out of the box.

We'll drum samples are not the real thing but I was hoping it could be? So 3 star to toontrack at least there trying and getting better.

Excellent collection of drum sounds, a must have for Superior Drum users. I use this collection the most of all the addons available. Includes some great midi files also, if your into that.

Another brilliant SDX.

By far some of the best drums I have ever heard!!!! I've been a music producer for some time now (I have had hundreds of songs placed on TV, Film and Radio) and you can beat the sound of Toontrack even if you are miking the drums yourself in a great Studio! Trust me I know cause I have a great studio!!! And yes these ARE the real thing, Real Drums recorded REAL GOOD!! TOONTRACK ROCKS!!!!!
