Worked wonders during an European trip. It was very easy to set up and use. The lock was strong and the longer cable made it versatile. It was just the right size to travel. Affordable too.

We have purchased several these both for ourselves and members of our family. The size of top wire is large enough to allow you to include both zippers and still unlock it without it being an issue.

I purchased these not for use on my luggage but for locking my bag to my chair while at the beach on a cruise excursion. I used one to lock the zippers of my bag together and the other with the longer cable to lock my bag to my beach chair. While I'm aware that if someone really wanted to get into my bag, they could use a large knife to cut the bag, but I felt this was good protection against casual "drive by theft" by other cruise guests (who do not have knives on them). The lock was easy to use, easy for others to see and setting my combination was super easy too. I would recommend these for this use or for use as a luggage lock. These could also be used to secure your purse to a chair in a restaurant too.

These TSA locks with a long cable/shackle is great for locking zipper handles with other parts of the bag together. I haven't used them for traveling however there is a TSA key hole for the inspection purpose. The locks came nicely package in a carton box while individually sealed with zip lock bags. The instruction manual to set your preferred code is easy to follow. I gave these 4-stars because of a certain feature I don't like. Most newer locks will allow you to insert the shackle into the locking bar while the locking mechanism is timed closed or open (meaning you have the right combination of OPEN position) . This lock will not allow you to insert the shackle while the combination is not timed correctly. I have a habit of changing the timing of the locking mechanism after releasing the shackle for precautionary measures and then putting back the shackles when it's time to lock it again. I'm sure most people won't care but it certainly would have been better if you can put back the shackle into the locking mechanism and instantly lock when the timing is on closed position.

I’ve only just received this and set my code, but by the feel it seems sturdy enough… as sturdy as the brand of similar lock I had and then forgot in Italy. :-( First, the code - like *any* of these locks - can only be reset *if* the tumbler is first set to the lock code. If not, it is not possible to press the reset button. Thus, if you’ve locked it, spun the tumbler, then nobody can reset your code without knowing your *current* code. Second, for those saying it is impossible to actually set the code… see above. You probably have not properly set the code to the factory default of 000. If the lock is not using the factory default, you didn’t get a new lock. Third, if you can’t press the reset button without also moving the tumblers… I don’t see how that is a fault of the lock. It is trivially easy. Don’t blame the lock for your lack of care and/or basic dexterity. Note: if you press and slide the reset button as the instructions say, the lock is in “reset mode”… you can release the reset button and just focus on the tumblers to set them correctly per your preference. Then hold the lock *above* the tumblers near the cable to return the reset button to its normal position. No need to fret about moving the tumblers and actually setting the code to an unintended number. Really people, this is not hard…

We purchased these for our recent trip to Italy, so that we can ensure that all the zippers were locked on our backpacks and suitcases to prevent pickpockets from unknowingly, unzipping your backpacks and stealing your goods. They did come in handy, and gave us a sense of assurance that someone would not be able to unzip our backpacks. We did have a situation on one train in Florence where a pick pocket tried to open my other backpack that only held my clothes. I did not use a lock on that one, cause it was just for clothing.

My old boomer eyesight is getting bad and reading numbers on my old travel locks was difficult. These locks are very easy to read. The contrast between white and black makes undoing this lock super simple even in badly lit hotel rooms.
