A little of this sand goes a long way. I would prefer if the bag was resealable as I had to seal myself. The stand itself looks great in the tank and really easy to clean with a gravel cleaner. It was hard to work out how to wash it in the first instance and was a little bit messy. It does look good once in the tank and the fish also like it I do not have to worry about the fish if they swallow it as sometimes have bigger gravel can get stuck.

Had a very stunning look, however the next morning found shrimps dead and fish fighting for oxygen at top of tank. Sand appears to clump and float, not suitable for aquatic life at all. Very sad. My shrimps were full of eggs so it's a real loss, especially to my children who loved their shrimps. I can only hope that the rest of my tank survive now. Awful stuff. Spent hours getting every grain out. Seems good value and quality for money however, the price is loss of life for your creatures. Avoid by all means.

Followed the guidence to the letter for adding sand to my aquarium. Washed it threw , cycles the tank with existing filters to boost the process . Put fish in next 2 days all dead , red tail shark , countless tetra and guppies , and about 20 shrimp.I'm absolutely gutted deffo do not recommend

This is most definitely NOT sand. Just used it as a top layer to cap off a base of plant substrate. The grains of this turn into a black clumpy mess, some float and the rest cling to everything they touch (not like tge way sand does, almost like the way polystyrene does with static).Totally ruined all my prep and setup, I'm going to have to start from scratch.

Do not buy this! Such a waste of money and unsafe for your fish.

It is what it is. Minimal washing needed.

The media could not be loaded.  Really good. It’s not really, truly black, kind of dark graphite, once it’s under water. Also, tends to float a little after filling a tank, even if you do it very gently. That being said, not everything is floating, just few clumps. Otherwise it’s great.

Acheter ce sable pour mon aquarium. Il est fin. Ne trouble pas l'eau. Je ne l'ai pas rincer car trop fin pour le positionner correctement.Pour les personnes qui disent qu'il fait mourir les crevettes et poisson. Il faut pas balancer le sable et y mettre les poissons déjà présent. Il y a un temps d'adaptation. Pas pour rien qu'on met un aquarium en cyclage. Vérifiez bien vos paramètres d'eau avant de les introduire dedans.
