MERIWOOL Unisex Merino Wool Cuff Beanie Winter Hat for Men and Women

I’m very happy with this beanie. It is a mid weight soft wool. Not itchy at all. I do not handle cold well, and wool makes a huge difference for me. I also love that wool does not hold odors and it cleans easily. Throw it in the wash and then air dry. The construction is good. No pilling, fraying, or losing shape.

I wear the charcoal gray "beanie" in the broadcast studio as it's warm and cushions the Sony 7506 headphones I wear eight hours+ a day. (Looks great on Zoom, too!). I fold the "cuff" at an inch or so, part of the visual appeal, which adds a nice finish.

Unless sitting in a snowy deer blind, I have no use for a thick wool cap and find this weight of material much more desirable. Thin, soft, merino hats are very hard to find and this one is half the price of the comparable Arc'teryx. The fabric (it is 100% wool) seems just as nice as the more expensive ones I have, but this one is not really a beanie.It is 10.5 inches from top to bottom. Wearing it positioned just above your brows and over the top half of your ears will give you some resemblance to a trappeur. To make it fit tight up top, it needs to be cuffed at least 3 inches.Maybe that makes it more versatile---more warmth for your forehead and ears when cuffed and when you get too warm, you go Gallic---I just prefer a true beanie cut. Nevertheless, it is nice and there are colors I do not have, so I will probably pick up a couple more.One more thing I just realized---as I'm wearing it---the circumference is more generous than an Arc'teryx. My hat size is 7 1/4 and wearing glasses makes that brand feel tight across the ears pretty rapidly. The cut of the Meriwool is more comfortable.

Not too thick, but very warm. While hiking or running in the cold, most beanies are far too hot for me to wear long. I end up taking them off, my sweaty hair is exposed to cold cold winds, and my ears freeze. That can't be good but I just got used to it. I had tried a few different synthetic beanies (and one merino wool) until I found this one. I am really happy to be able to wear this. I can be active in the cold without overheating.

I like the fact that it fits snuggly, and it is very soft. It is difficult to cover your ears without covering your eyes, so be prepared for that, but otherwise it is warm, soft, and water resistant, will not protect you in a downpour be sure to have your wet weather gear handy :)

Love merino wool caps. Great cap for a great price. Nordy’s had similar for $90. The blue is less navy and more royal/grey

Ok Medium weight hat.Pros.Finish, colour & size ok. Material is quite thin & thus light weight.Cons.NOT made in New Zealand, I assumed it was, one of the reasons for purchasing, but made in that equally far away land, disappointing.Was considering buying another, but not likely due to that reason.

Look no further.. You feeling down? Blue? Cold? This is happiness in an Amazon delivery. Softer than a newborns skin, warm, wicking. What do you actually want from life???

I thought it would be thicker but to be honest it still keeps my warm and I can easily put it in my pocket when not using. A few times I’ve lost hats because I can’t put them anywhere once not wearing, so this is a bonus feature. Oh and it keeps my head and ears warm.

Love this hat, 100% merino wool, soft and really comfy to wear. Highly recommend. I’ve had Bernie’s and hats in the past that all make it too warm and itchy. Not this one.
