Citizen Eco-Drive Ladies' Strap with White Dial EW1270-06A

Love the size of this round watch - so many are huge nowadays. It's about the size of a nickel. The leather band is nice...a bit glossy, and it fits my wrist perfectly. I am a larger boned and not skinny lady and still have 3 holes to expand into if necessary. Large numbers on the dial are easy to read - except the date...it is so small I can't read it with or without my glasses. I'm OK without the date as don't use it or keep it updated on my other watches. Of course, the main reason I purchased this watch is I am sick of replacing batteries. This one was working right out of the box and hoping it stays that way! Only gave 4 stars because of the date issue.

I thought this was a watch intended for a small wrist. However, I had to have my local jeweler punch another hole in the strap so it wouldn't be too loose. This leaves over 2" strap beyond the buckle, and even when tucked into the 2nd strap-loop it makes for a very stiff, clunky feel on the other side of my wrist. 1" shorter would be ideal, still leaving several holes should my wrist get bigger. Unfortunately this jeweler (only one in town) does not cut and restitch straps. Another minor quibble: it took our strongest magnifying glass and better eyes than mine to read the case & serial #s on the back of the case. A small card with that information enclosed with the watch would be very helpful. I also agree with an earlier reviewer's criticism of excessive packaging. At least most of that seems to be recyclable.

I have arthritis in my hands and wrists. I've been looking for a lightweight, reliable watch for the longest time and finally found it in this Citizens watch. It is small, but it's still easy to read the time...however, I do need my eyeglasses to read the date, which is not a problem for me. The watch is also attractive and the leather band is large enough to accommodate my wrists even when swollen. I wear it all day and usually forget that I'm wearing it. Thank you Citizens!

I love citizen eco drive watches because I never ever have to replace the battery. Another wonderful thing was the price. It was very affordable! Also, it is a convenient way to keep track of the time for breaks and lunches whilst at work, without being attached at the hip to my cell phone all day long. If you are a person like me who enjoys simple, old fashioned items then this is a great watch for you.Lastly, this watch is not made to wear whilst swimming laps. It will tolerate mild splashes of H2O, but I wouldn't submerge it.

Should have checked the size, but it was way too small for the person I bought it for and we had to return it. After seeing this, I don’t think any watch should have a case diameter of 25mm or smaller, for men or women; it’s ridiculously small and difficult to read. That’s not Citizen’s fault though and the watch seemed to be as high quality as anything else they make.

I wanted a wristwatch that was easy to read and didn't need battery replacements. No fancy do-dads, just something to tell me what time it is. I got tired of trying to find my phone to check on the time.This black and white timepiece pairs well with casual and office attire. It was difficult to find instructions for how to set it, but I just took a chance and figured out how to change the date. I'm very happy with my new watch and wear it everywhere.

We returned a nice-looking Bulova watch whose cheap band was very uncomfortable and got this instead. This watch has no real bad points. It's quite small, that's true. When you're not a watch expert, it's pretty hard to judge the size of a watch from published dimensions, even with a ruler. But this was only slightly smaller than other watches my wife has liked, so it's still ok. She can't read the tiny date, but that's not a big flaw. Thanks to black numbers and on a white dial, it's easy enough to read the time. The Eco-drive is a huge plus, too. And the band is very good quality - you would easily pay $50 for an equivalent replacement! Everything to love. This watch is a fine product and a good value.If I had a single complaint, it would be this: my wife wanted a gold-tone case. The only similar watches from Citizen with gold cases have dials that are very difficult to read, unlike this watch. So it's not a problem of this watch, but of Citizen's product line that doesn't offer this in a gold case.

I positively adore this watch. It's small and neat and functional; stylistically, it's all that I want. Particularly good fit as I have small hands. I only have to detract a star because of the watch band. It positively irritated my skin, and made it impossible to wear. Thankfully, being a leather band it's easily replaceable and that was a fun exercise in learning how to do myself. If anyone else has a similar problem, I highly recommend the  Hirsch 010091-50-11 11 -mm Genuine Textured Leather "No Allergy" Lining Watch Strap  brand of hypoallergenic bands also available on Amazon. The new band also looks a bit more attractive (if you don't care for the shininess of the original) so overall I'm quite happy with this purchase.

When I opened the box I thought how beautiful the watch was. Just the right size for my very small wrist. Excellent quality and good value for money. Unfortunately when I tried it on I found that the strap, although very excellent quality, was extremely stiff and too long for my slim wrist. Sadly for this reason I had to return for a refund. Citizen - could you please consider a softer shorter strap that would suit petite ladies. If you did I would be very proud to own and wear this watch. For ladies of average build this watch would be just perfect.

Bought this for my mother who had a previous version of this watch. Having sent her a print of the screen, She said it would be suitable. When it arrived my mother was pleased for a lovely gift, And here's the But. The strap is very narrow and the date window is very small. I said we could return it. But my mother had used it and is keeping it. My mother tells me the watch also is different from the picture. I expect the small print allows for that. I had ordered remotely as we live several miles apart.

This is such a shame as I already have an Eco Drive Citizen watch and I love it, I wanted a black one though. This arrived and I was so excited, but ponce opened, it was so tiny, the whole thing. Just teeny tiny, a really thin strap, that didn't look anything like the picture and looked very cheap, even though it was claimed to be leather. Very disappointed, tried it on and it just didn't feel comfy at all as the strap was too stiff and plastic looking to be comfortable. I will be returning this as soon as possible.

I have owned 2 Eco-Drives for several years and they have both been flawless. The one I wear as I type has been on my wrist almost every day for the past 8 years. I finally convinced my wife to join the Citizen club after her 2nd Timex expired after just over a year's use. She is delighted with it. It looks great, is very well made and should be ultra accurate and reliable for many years.

Neat and elegant. Avoids the inconvenience of changing batteries. The date window is a little small for older eyes The leather strap is comfortable - and fits any wrist (avoiding link removal sometimes needed with metal straps). Visually, the black strap suits the watch. Recommended.
