Neewer 77” tripod yes or no? I say, yes!
My 5 star rating is for the tripod, which is what I purchased, not the tripod head.I feel I got a value for what I paid. It’s well made for a tripod under $60. It’s easy enough to deploy, lightweight enough to make it easy to move around, versatile enough to be a sturdy and useful piece of kit. It comes with an arca Swiss plate, a ball head, a simple bag for carrying and protection and Allen key, and a phone mount, which feels pretty flimsy and cheap. The ball head is not too well made from what I could tell. It’s a decent material and It seems sturdy, but it’s got too way much friction on the ball making it a bit difficult to fine adjust. Also the “0” mark to pan is about 10 degrees off of the notch for the ball head to turn for portraits, which while it may not be important, I have to believe there’s a reason why my other ball heads are marked with the “0” aligned perfectly with the notch. Since I have a few other heads and really bought this item for just the tripod this was a non issue for me.Having said that, I would pay LESS for the tripod alone without a head, otherwise, I would still recommend this tripod as it is STILL a good value and it is sturdy and well made for a tripod in this price range.

Better than many cheap knockoffs
I recently purchased this tripod for recording videos, and I have been extremely impressed with its performance. Neewer is a brand I had heard about before and trust. The design of the tripod is both sturdy and lightweight, making it easy to move around and set up. 77 inches is as much as you will need for basically any situation, since you want it to be at least as tall as the person you are filming. One of the standout features of this tripod is the fluid head with adjustable resistance. This allows me to make smooth, precise movements while filming, and the adjustable resistance allows me to customize the amount of resistance to my liking.Another great feature of this tripod is the ability to hang a counterweight from the center column. This provides additional stability and ensures that the tripod doesn't tip over, even when using heavy cameras on an incline. In addition to its impressive features, the tripod also comes with an excellent carrying case. One of the things that surprised me the most about this tripod is its ability to easily convert into a monopod. This is a great feature to have, as it allows me to switch between using the tripod and monopod quickly and easily.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this tripod. It has way more features than I expected for the price, and it has proven to be a valuable tool for recording videos. I highly recommend this tripod to anyone in need of a sturdy, reliable, and versatile tripod for their filming needs.

Solid Tripod with Great Stability – Just Missing One Thing
Overall, I'm really impressed with it. It provides excellent stability, is super easy to set up, and is lightweight, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor shoots. The build quality is solid, and it feels durable enough to handle my camera and lenses with confidence.Stability: The tripod holds my camera steadily, even with larger lenses (Canon R + RF 24-70mm lens), which is essential for sharp, clear shots. The legs have a good lock mechanism that ensures the tripod doesn't shift or wobble during use.Ease of Use: The tripod is user-friendly, with simple adjustments for height and angle. The quick-release plate is also a nice touch—super convenient for switching between different devices. The Missing Piece: The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn’t have a long handle for turning the pan/tilt head. I typically work with heavier gear, and having a longer handle would make it a lot easier to adjust the camera smoothly, especially for panning shots. It’s still functional, but that extra length would make the experience even better.Value: Despite the lack of a long handle, this tripod is still an excellent value for the price. It’s versatile, sturdy, and does the job well—especially if you're just starting out or don't need extreme adjustments during shoots. It's well worth it for the price.Overall: Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a solid, portable tripod that does the job. Just be mindful that you might need to do some extra manual adjustments without the longer handle.

Solid and stable tripod
This is a solidly built tripod! There was no flex in the legs when extended. The locking rings, ball and rotation locks kept every thing stationary. The added weight hook on the bottom only adds to the stability in windy conditions. This is the best tripod for the money ($50-400) hands down!
