Little White Rabbit Board Book: An Easter And Springtime Book For Kids

Cute book with imagination.

This was a darling book. Deals with imagining what being something else is like including being green, being tall, flying, sitting still like a rock, etc. Could have kids interact with each page and hold still and be silent like a rock or to reach up to be as tall and stomp around like a giant. Could also read the book quietly and have students close eyes and imagine what each is like. Images large enough for a small group to read together. Could read to boy or girl especially during spring or Easter time. The flying page is the only image that stood out as very girly... due to the flock of butterflies, but the image was SO WONDERFUL that i don't think young boys would mind.The only thing i did not like was the part about the cat and then running home. I think there could have been a far cuter way to get the bunny back home... perhaps thinking of what it would be liked to be ? and then the bunny realizing they did not have to imagine this... and ran off home to mom and bed.The cat thing just ruined the flow of the book for me, but overall I enjoyed the book very much.

Another great book from Kevin Henkes. The illustrations and colors are beautiful as you follow this curious and imaginative Bunny through his day.

My daughter LOVES her "Wabbit" book! We read it every night and she loves to point out things in the pages and have me name them. The pictures are so beautiful and the text is very simple. I agree with a previous reviewer about wanting to frame the pages - I'd LOVE to do my daughter's room in Kevin Henkes Little White Rabbit theme! (Lots of greens, pinks and yellows.) I almost thought it would be too simple, but my daughter stays interested and adds to the story - she "flutters" with the butterflies, points out the sibling rabbit who is still awake, stands and reaches "So Tall!" with the very tall rabbit, she is just very attached to this book (she has had it for 5 months now). I can't say enough great things about the book - we love it!

Kevin Henkes is my favorite! I enjoy reading his books to my kids. My son's favorite was Old Bear, but Kitten's First Full Moon and Birds came a close second and third. For my Daughter we added Little White Rabbit and A Good Day, which both are of the same high quality as Henkes' other books for young children. The illustrations are beautiful, and I enjoy the simpleness of the story itself and how the characters are related to the world around them. The animal protagonists are curious and imaginative just as children are.

Our one year old had a bunny-themed first birthday party and I bought this book for her to be able to read to her at bedtime. The illustrations are beautiful and it was fun for my four year old to find and point out the bunny on each page. The little rabbit has a great imagination and wonders what it would be like to be different things that he sees throughout his day. There are not a lot of words to this book but I think it must spark a bit of imagination to the little readers to think about what it really would be like to be a tree or a rock or even a bunny. Plus, the ending is super sweet.

Great book

My 1 year old loves this book. The pictures are good and the story is quite readable. A lot of the children's books I've encountered so far have had awkward, badly written rhymes that just feel too forced. This book just uses simple prose and it's really better that way; With the bad rhymes, my daughter loses interest and wiggles all over the place, but with this book she is totally enthralled.

Beautiful illustrations, but the story is a little on the sparse side for my toddler. She still enjoys the book though and love the images
