A Hidden Agenda From Those Who Sleep
Dr. Burns asked the central question of this book on page 188, where we read, "Is Billy Graham a "prophet with honor" or is he a wolf in sheep's clothing?" That her answer confirms the latter is abundantly obvious in this book. And it is not, I believe, because she has a personal axe to grind. It's because Graham clearly deserves to be exposed. This book fulfills the mandate of Ephesians 5:11 regarding Graham and his traitorous friends and dubious colleagues in great detail. However, it does it solely within the confines of Dr. Burns' theological parameters.Which brings us to why I did not rate this book with five stars. Anytime a non-fiction book really delivers valid information with ample documentation (which was incidentally quite impressive), it is eligible for a five-star rating as far as I'm concerned. One would be hard pressed to find a more copiously documented work. So why four stars? The answer is simple. Dr. Burns is so locked into the mainstream evangelical mindset, that she can only see evil elsewhere. She is obviously unable to discern the Trojan horses that have infected her own circles. The specifics follow.First, Dr. Burns is a cessationist. On page 99, she actually put in print that speaking in tongues "...is not a sign that a person is a Christian." Now, some of us understand that, regarding tongues, the counterfeit has received widespread exposure while the genuine has been rarely observed, which is one factor to keep in mind. If one has never experienced the real McCoy and only knows the fake, the genuine becomes all too easy to dismiss. Burns is fully at home in that tragic trap, and pages 519-521 illustrate this quite well. Of course, the Apostle Paul would vehemently disagree with the above quote from page 99 by Dr. Burns. She quoted a lot of scriptures in her book, but interestingly, she never quotes 1 Corinthians 14:5. And she possibly never thoroughly traced what the book of Acts reveals about speaking in tongues.Second, Dr. Burns is an Immortalist, and she lumps those Christians who are Annihilationists right in with pagans, witches, and Communists who also do not believe in everlasting torment for the wicked. This Trojan horse of Immortalism is, in my humble opinion, one of the most basic and tragic issues that hamper and limit Evangelical efforts. According to Dr Burns, anyone who does not believe in the mainstream theological concept of everlasting torment also does not believe in the inerrancy of scripture. Actually, some of us are Annihilationists precisely because we do believe in the inerrancy of scripture. The Bible clearly speaks of the complete destruction of the wicked, not their unending torture by a loving God (which is a contradiction in terms). To be clear, Immortalists believe 'torment' is literal, while 'perish' and 'death' are figurative; and Annihilationists believe 'perish' and 'death' are meant literally while 'torment' is used hyperbolically. Dr. Burns is flat wrong that Annihilationists do not believe in the inerrancy of scripture, and I am a living and breathing proof of her (common to Evangelicals') mistake.I could go on with a third major point of theological disagreement, but I choose not to because this effort by Dr.Burns does not deserve my complaints as much as it deserves my praise. Dr. Burns has illustrated that she has clearly seen the dangers of the New Age movement, and the mendacity embedded in environmentalism, in entertainment, in politics, and in other facets of life. Furthermore, she can articulate these warnings so that the reader can wake up and smell the coffee. And people do need to be prodded awake. A one-world, new-world order is looming, and it won't be led by faith, but by rebellion. Many will fall victim to it with long-range circumstances. Those who learn from Dr. Burns will be better able to minimize the long-term consequences. Those who fail to heed her call will pay the worst possible price. But it won't be everlasting torture in hell. It will be the second death - from which there will be no resurrection.

WOW
I haven't read it all yet, but what I have read is good and very informative. So sad...that so many respect this man almost as a god, and they really don't know what he is about!!! Get it and find out for yourself! I hope he has the the real Jesus somewhere in his soul, for his own sake, but sad that so many have been deceived also! The trouble is, so many are now,,,,,teaching: 2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. There is not many ways folks as some of them like Graham and other are teaching behind the scenes. Jesus said: Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ONE WAY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!!! Wake up, read the King James Bible, and pray for God to open your eyes to truth! And don't trust any man!!! Seek God for yourself through the Bible. Test the fruit, learn to discern according to scripture, and if it doesn't line up, run away as fast as you can!!! We are living in the last days, and it's only going to get worse in false teaching and deception Jesus said: Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity..

typical, but doesn't go far enough.
I shouldn't expect much with any book advertised on the Chick web page, but, at 700 + pages, maybe I'd get something new? This book is not so much an expose on Graham, as it is an expose on everyone that Graham happened to bump into or shake hands with in his entire career. I suppose we should be thankful Graham didn't accidently tip Anton La Vey a quarter when La Vey was a carnival organist in the 40s! Then, we'd have to read how he is 'in league with Satanists and supports their cause'.Still, the author points out some people who have much invested in Graham's success: why would Hearst want to promote Graham back in his early days? Why did John Foster Dulles wish to promote Graham? Or Henry Luce? Or Rockefeller? Why do all these people, whose private religious views may, or may not, clash with Graham's fundamentalism, support him? What do they have to gain by him? That's fascinating material to research! Unfortunately, Burns never gets into the 'why', just the 'who'. If she got into the 'why', she'd have to reveal how fundamentalism, of the Christian America bent, is the best friend third world dictators ever had. Then, she'd have to seriously re-think her religious views.A better recommendation would be: THY WILL BE DONE by Gerard Colby or the movie, THE MOSQUITO COAST for a great scene of mesmerized natives watching a videotape of a missionary in rapt silence! There is a dark side to the Graham mystique worthy of Oliver Stone treatment, but Burns is too busy shining flashlights on his shadow to capture it.

Very informative book!
Great book to read and realize how compromised Billy Graham became only a few years after becoming well known! Catholic Church paid him off to promote universal religion with catholicism. He became a wolf in sheeps clothing! And has led a lot of people astray!

another great book by Dr
Once again, another great book by Dr. Cathy Burns, into the ' Falseness ' of Billy Graham, who appears to have fooled people for very many years, with a ' Hidden Agenda.' Very highly recommended.

EXCELLENT EYE-OPENING WORK
For those that still have doubts about Billy Graham's work, this book is A MUST. No child of God have such friends and is a real son of God. No one with such friends is allowed in these circles if he really is an embassador of Christ. No one can be friend of the world and friend of God, as the Bible says. No one with the Spirit of Christ is accepted in the heart of the darkness kingdom if the Spirit of God really inhabits his being. Jesus told us to be carefull with wolves in the midst of sheeps. This book shows a major wolf in its magnitude. Excellent work.

Excellent book packed with information. Brilliant research and well cited.
Discover the true origins of Billy Graham's ministry and trace step by step the watering down of the Gospel message by him until it is ineffectual for leading sinners to Biblical salvation.. Acts 2.38. Billy Graham at his crusades will not direct a Jew, Catholic or Muslim to Christ but rather back to their original belief system ? Learn of the anti Christ personalities Graham endorses and the present day issues such as homosexuality he refuses to speak out against. Excellent book. Graham expects to see everyone in heaven weather they repent or not as he believes everyone has a knowledge of Jesus within them 'even if they are conscience of it or not'? Exhaustively researched and cited. Dr Burns not only gives relevant and shocking information but also educates the reader on many other false teachings and practices of the friends of Graham that are being passed off as Christian. Very well presented and easy to read. This book will blow your Theological socks off. Highly recommend it. I will be reading many other books by Dr Burns in the future. Excellent as a tool for evangelical enlightenment. 10/10.
