Are these pens exactly like advertising photos with 35 pens in them?

They come in 2 boxes inside the main box. One box containing the fine points and the other the medium points. They have worked great so far. So yes there are 35. There however are not 35 different colors. Some are same shades just different size tips. Hope this helps

Will these show up on black canvas duck fabric?

They do well with fabric in general. Also canvas is a yes usually too if it's a pretty close weave the better. As black should be great with some colors better than others. But most of the paints are pretty opaque so they work well with black and dark colors. You'll want to prime them first say on a piece of cardstock to get them flowing well befor attempting to work on your fabric. Also be aware the fabric may soak up more ink than smoother surfaces and less porous like glass and even rock. For example unglazed clay like a terracotta pot would soak up more paint than a glazed ceramic tile or glass surface. Paper and some papers more than others also would soak up more paint verses coated papers. Also times drying might vary a bit with the media. Hope this helps anyone else looking into buying any of these acrylic paint markers to use on fabrics. Run through review photos to see if anyone posted design work on fabric or black background like paper. I know someone mentioned use on black chalk labels making them permanent of course as acrylic paint wouldn't erase like chalk would. Anyway it was a black label.

Are these permanent on glass or porcelain? Do they need to be cured in the oven?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Here are some tips for Glass, ceramic or porcelain curing and baking:
- Make sure that the surface is thoroughly cleaned, use rubbing alcohol. Don’t forget to remove all price stickers, otherwise it will burn when you bake;
- Once you are happy with your design let it air dry for 24 hours before baking. This will ensure proper adhesion of the design on the surface;
- After fully dry, place your project into a cold oven;
- Turn oven to 350˚F;
- Set a timer for 1 hour;
- Once the hour is up, turn off the oven;
- Open the oven;
- Let the project cool down completely inside the oven.

Hand-washing in warm water is the best option to wash the surface. We do not recommend using dishwasher or heavy-duty sponge. Remember, there is always a chance to scratch the paint, be extra careful with the project!

Are the paints water resistant?

no they are not water resistant. they suck, frankly. it was a waste of money. very little paint in the pens and the paint is low quality and the pen tips ruin paper, scratch wood, don't work on glass or metal. i suggest don't buy these. a permanent marker works better than these, or getting real acrylic paint and using brushes. not at all worth the price. i can't think of anything i can use them for at all and i'm an artist. they're in a box wasting away bc literally there's nothing i can use them for. nothing. they rip canvas, too.
