Amazing!
I only write this for rubber part, as the remaining parts of my pedal were still functional, so I didnt change them. This product is amazing, and it has totally changed the way I play. I highly recommend it. A couple of important notes: - I had almost 0 experience with replacing something like this, I normally never open any of my devices, but it was super easy, just remove like 10 screws and thats it. - it works better if you put grease in the rubber part that touches the little wheel. Put grease in the wheel too. What kind of grease? I used one for cars, resistant to high temperatures, and it worked. - be careful when opening the pedal, as the cables within are super short and you could damage them (as long as they work of course, otherwise just rip it open haha) - do not buy a new pedal without trying this first. Theres a price difference of almost $150

Just like new!
I've had my Roland FD-8 Pedal for over 10yrs and the rubber actuator dried out and became so stiff it would'nt flex anymore. This kit fix it!!! My FD-8 feel and works like brand new. If anyone has had problems I can guess that they didn't or couldn't clean away the self-adheasive gum from the old sensor. Even with a heatgun it's really difficult to remove the old sensor and the film of gum remained, I used naptha (mineral spirits and denatured alcohol didn't work). GooGone or WD-40 might work too, since they have a solvent in their recipe... no matter what it will be slow going getting all the gum off. For the kit to work the metal (base) plate must be perfectly clean. Lastly, I found it easier to remove the jack in order to disconnect/reconnect the membrane wire, just one nut and then gently slide the little collar back a tiny bit... piece of cake.

Easy to install. Worked Great!!
Product delivered inside strong small cardboard box which was inside of padded envelope. No directions were included. The removal of the old was very straightforward. I used a razor blade-type scraper around the edge of sensor, then it peeled off in one piece. (The brush was used to clean the inside of the pedal housing). I loosened the 1/4" jack and rotated it to connect the new sensor. The new connector on the sensor had a blue tinted end, but I just left it intact and just plugged it in. (The old sensor had a hole in the metal contact inside the clear plastic, so it was useless). The old rubber part simply pulls right off. It was extremely stiff compared to the new one. I hooked up the pedal and it worked perfectly -Just like new!

Did not work as expected, disappointed with results
Did not work as i expected. The Hi Hat is still not sharp, it's fractionally better than before i bought this item. I thought it would be good as new, but no. I still have to stomp very hard on the pedal to get the hi hat cymbal to respond. Disappointed

Easy to install and works great
Works great and easy to install for my FD-8. Note the blue tip on the connect side should not be removed before installing.
