Drop the barbell and the weights won't move.
These are ridiculous. Weights don't move, at all. I was using the spring looking collars (provided by the gym) but after dropping a barbell loaded with bumper plates more than a few times the weights would begin to migrate outward. This made it tough to do CrossFit type workouts. BUT NOT ANY MORE!! The rubber on the inside grips very well to the barbell and keeps the weights in place. Plus, they look super cool and I feel like I need to lift heavier or people will be like, "Hey that guy has super cool barbell collars but he's kind of a bitch. I just don't get it."One thing of note: these collars snap closed AND snap open. If you are struggling to get them off the barbell it's because they have not been opened all the way. When fully opened they will 'click' into place.

Nice color
The orange is definitely a good color. Probably one of the best. The grip on the bar is great. The only downside is the snap of the lever when you release it. If your hand or fingers are anywhere near it, you will have a bruise to remember. It hurts! Once you train yourself to stay clear of that minor danger, and once you get over the drag of the rubber at times when pulling it off, you'll realize it's definitely a step in a better design direction compared to the older bulky collars. The trick is to remember to open it up all the way passed the clicking point to fully open it. Then it doesn't have quite the drag. Also, I have yet to see one of these with the reddish rubber inside. Most are made with the black rubber. Not sure what that's all about. Over all I'd say they're way over priced but they're definitely a good quality product with a fairly good design.

Amazing collars!
These are fantastic collars! They are easy to put on and off, it is much easier to remove and install them in the OPEN position. Although the NEUTRAL position gives you some room to slide them on and off, unless you pull them off completely straight, they will tend to grip to the barbell.I've been doing sumo deadlifts and they do wiggle loose a tad bit after a few drops (deadlifting 245-lbs at the moment). it's not to the point that the bumpers are wobbling though, after 15 reps total, the collar backed out maybe about 3-5mm which is hardly anything in my opinion. The locking mechanism is great as well! Easiest way I've found to unlocking them (without it snapping back and whipping your finger), is to put your thumb against lock, and your middle or index finger on the metal wedges around the collar and then just push with your thumb. That way, your fingers are out of the way and won't get hit when the lock springs open. Attached a photo for reference on how I unlock my collars.Overall, I am very pleased, the anodizing looks great, much easier to use than my velcro collar straps. These are each about 0.4-lbs, for a total of 0.8-lbs. This actually works out better for me since my barbell is 20-kg (44-lbs), so now it's closer to 45-lbs, now I can stop subtracting 1-lb from all my sets =D.

others were too small and will not easily slide on and off of the bar
I have tried several other cheaper collars because I just couldn't justify the expense of the OSO collars. Some don't clamp securely, others were too small and will not easily slide on and off of the bar. These exude quality. They are the correct size to be easily slid on and off the bar, but when clamped down they hold securely. What else do you want from a barbell collar?Do yourself a favor and skip the garbage, pay once for these and don't throw your money away on junk.

Great collars
Great collars do not move an inch once claimed on I would recomend even with the down side of the price of $50 and the paint chips off easily that is why I took one star off. I have only had them for a couple months I hope they hold up over time.

Quality Clamps
Your plates will NOT come loose. I use them in CrossFit, and you know we're known for gratuitously throwing our loaded bars from overhead positions to the ground. I get compliments on them all the time. Construction and material quality is high. I was worried about the composite levers initially, but they are standing up to the abuse. The downside? No more "breaks" to tighten your clamps in the middle of an intense WOD

These collars are the real deal. No slipping on repeated drops from overhead. Rock solid. I Would definitely purchase again.

Lever tension is just right
After reading one review in particular I was concerned the lever might snap hurting fingers, but after using this for a dozen workouts or so it is clear that this is not a problem. Works great, far better than spring clips..
