Good quality for the price.
The electronics work good but the directions that come with it are horrible so just plan on Googling how to change the settings.

Terrible product! Becomes inaccurate over time, by as much as 5 degrees per hour.
Product works as described from a functional perspective. The problem I ran into was a temperature slip over time, regardless of the temperature probe type used. It was losing about 2°-5° every hour on the temperature reading. This caused the unit to overheat the water it was supposed to be maintaining. Instead of having water at 150°, the water temp rose to 165° after 3 hours, and continued rising. But, the unit said the water was holding steady at 150°. After a lot of testing and troubleshooting, I found that it needs LOTS of ventilation to slow down the temperature slip issue, but it won't stop it. It was very warm to the touch, but not excessively hot in my opinion - about 115° in a 95° ambiant environment. I tried Inkbird, and it ran cooler, with no temperature slip at all inside the same panel. Electronics inside of a panel should expect to run warm and still be accurate. Not this unit! That was enough to cause inaccuracies to a level of being unacceptable in a Homebrewing application. Once I opened the panel and had a fan blowing on it the whole time, it was a bit more accurate, but still unacceptable temperature slip over a 8-12 hour period. Bottom line, this controller unit will be inaccurate over time. If you your application can tolerate a 20 degree inaccuracy, then maybe this is OK for you. But why do that, when you can get an Inkbird for the same price and know you are getting accurate readings. Just as an FYI, the issue I found was a temperature slip over time, not a calibration issue. I calibrated to start off with, but after 8 hours it was off by 15 degrees or more. I ran a dozen or more tests changing the conditions, parameters and probes. All tests showed temp slip. All the same tests on the Inkbird passed with no temp slip at all. I wasted so much money on replacing probes & a lot of time on testing, only to spend more money replace this MYPIN garbage! Terrible, terrible product!!

Important: Will not display below 0.0°C!!!!!!
The instructions for this controller say that it can display down to -100°C, but it definitely does not. After searching around the net, it probably does not even have the capability to read below 0°C. In the picture is my thermopen vs. the MyPin: The probe being used on the MyPin is an Omega Type K surface thermocouple (~$80). The thermopen reads 1°F, while the MyPin is displaying 00.0°C, which is well above 1°F.Other than that deal-breaker issue, the controller is fairly easy to wire up, and seems to work correctly otherwise.
