Yamaha MCX-2000 Digital Audio Server (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Had to send the first unit back because of a couple of odd glitches, but the second one is fine and a good investment. There are not many affordable music servers left anymore that include a cd drive. That was the main reason for this purchase but it's a handy tool for cataloging music and burning CDs old school style. It will also convert catalog songs into MP3 so that you can squeeze more of those tunes onto a standard cd. Yamaha audio products seem to always have a nice smooth sound that's not too bright.

Excellent sound reproduction however I wish it had video out so I could use my TV as a screen monitor instead of having to look at the small screen.

The Yamaha MCX-2000 has a bunch of exellent functions. It is much better than all products in the line, which came after the MCX-2000. It plays fm-radio, internetradio, cd's and music which is recorded on the harddisc. On harddisc You can record Your music in cd-quality or in mp3-format. It's recommended for use with an external screen (tv- or computermonitor), to see the full menues.

I Had to return the MCX-A10 MusicCast terminal and the MCX-speakers because I could not use them in my set up. There was nothing wrong with the merchandise.Thank you Always Bargain.

Easy setup, easy to store music. Nice to be able to pack away almost 200 CDs. Only problem is I wish the hard drive was bigger.
