I've had the product since February 2020. It's August and the gears have began to strip, the rope broke last night where it connects to the winch.

Great winch, does exactly what I need it to do. Easily pulls thing into my enclosed trailer with no trouble.

The media could not be loaded.  This is absolutely the worst "winch",if you can even call it that,in the entire world. I bought it back in February when i had a lil extra tax refund money, but never used it until the other day.It wouldn't even winch the cable in with nothing attached to it,all it did was grind because the gear was only partly engaged and no matter what i did,it wouldnt fully engage.So im in the process of returning it.After i paid someone almost $300 to install it,and paid the same guy,$200 for removing it,and itll cost me $300 to have the new one put in,Amazon is only gonna reimburse me $139.00,even tho i paid $169.00 for the winch alone,plus $50 for the synthetic rope,are u doin the math,,it cost me almost $1,000.00,yet Amazon wont even fully return the purchase cost alone,let alone the extra they cost me,now im gonna have to stretch my money,because my wallet lost some thickness due to the sheerness of thier greedy attitude, they are proffitting from my misfortune and dont care.Im just about done with this racket,if this was handled by a civil court,they are called liabilities,and rightfully i should be fully reimbursed,good luck with that huh,,,,heed my forewarning, stay as far away from this brand as you can get,and oh yea,,the manufacturers were emailed regarding all this,nothing, i got no response from them so their customer service is in the same dumpster as the winches they defectively create.Id give the whole ordeal zero stars if i could.

Excellent and came to my door in alaska wthin 2.5 days.. unheard of and a pleasant surprise!

I purchased this winch in January 2020 to raise/lower a 5 foot wide UTV snow plow. I used it maybe a dozen times last winter and this winter. It quit working. Supposedly there is a 3-yr warranty and lifetime support...Mind you I was using a 5,000 lb winch to raise/lower a 150 lb snow plow. Tried to contact Rugcel customer service and got no response after two attempts through Amazon and two attempts on their Facebook page. They finally responded after I contacted Amazon customer service and sent a third message through Amazon. A Rugcel representative asked if it was ok for their technical support team to contact me "when they came back to work." Of course that was fine, but after two business days they had not responded. I sent another message through Amazon and was told that "technical support was still not back to work and they would contact me when they were back". Anyway, several days later and no response! Thankfully, Amazon Customer Service was willing to let me send the winch back for a refund given my attempts to contact the seller without any success.

The winch will start to pull our table carts onto the trialed and after 10 seconds it grinds gears. I have to let the cart back down and switch the red knob to release and then back to engage. After pulling 2 carts on the trailer it’s useless. I would like a replacement since it’s less than 2 years old. I would like customer service to contact me since I can’t find a way to reach them. Would prefer to get my money back.

I liked the price and took a chance with this an man how disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!received the winch easy instructions install went good so off we go well the second pull of the day lead into a disaster when all the gears started making a grinding noise and refused to roll up major bummer... Got with Rugcell on the return less than a week after the purchase to see what i need to do an all i got was a ( well send it back to Amazon) is it worth pulling out the wires an such are say screw it an go a different route... IDK but don't recommend this product.
