Great fun game
We really enjoy this pirate‑themed board game for kids and families. The game is easy to learn and quick to set up which makes it ideal for children around five years old. The colourful ships and pirate theme bring a playful charm that makes the experience fun and engaging for little players. The simplified rules help children grasp the basics of territory control and treasure‑hunting without the complexity of the original classic. On the downside the gameplay can feel quite luck‑based and simple if you are expecting deep strategy. Overall it is a nice introduction to board games and works wonderfully as a cheerful family game for younger children.

A fun if very simple game for young children
This was purchased as a gift for our 6 year old grandson to tie in with his Pirate themed birthday party. It's easy to follow and we enjoyed several games when unpacked. However it's possibly better for younger ones - say 4 or 5 year olds as it wasn't very challenging for him!

Easy to play and fun
This is not a children’s version of the original Risk game but it is a very good game. It’s simple and easy to learn and play. Each game doesn’t last too long even with 4 players but it’s easy and well worth resetting to play again.

So much fun - 4, 6, 43 and 48 ... all highly amused
6.5/10 but not because its a bad game... it's a great game, it just seems a shame that all ships doesn't come with a dice each as it's made for kids. Also a bit of a faff trying to remember who is on which island as the kids need to remove their game token to fight the battles. We've ended up buying extra dice and making additional tokens but would be a really simple fix to make this 10/10

Nowhere near as captivating as Risk.
Nowhere near as captivating as Risk. My child was super excited about adult Risk, with the maps and the armies. The only part that didn't resonate with her so well was the complicated way that battles are fought out. I thought the pirate ship variant of Risk might have kept all the greatest qualities, but no. The map is devoid of topology and there is little to gain by conquering a territory. And the addition of the tiddly-winks with the popping ships adds nothing to the game.

Pirates & treasure!
This game reimagines the dice battle mechanic of risk but in a fun pirate themed adventure for kids. The whole game is superbly thought out, particularly launching the dice like cannonballs from mini pirate ships. We even taught our 3 and 5 year old to go 'oh-arrr' each time they launch a dice. It has us in stitches.

With a couple of tweaks this could be excellent
A really nice game. Slightly spoiled by a couple of quality isssues Firstly the cardboard components are much thinner than I’d like but we’ll see how long they last. The second issue is more fundamental, the ships being part you use to “flick” the dice is ok but it can be hard if your boat is on the other side of the board and you have little arms! This leads to “bits” being moved around which can get in the way of the game a bit.

My 3 kids aged 6, 8 and 10 were all able to learn and play it without issues, good quality in terms of the actual board and items needed. It might become repetitive after a while since this is a very cut down version of the original game

Once you teach your littles how to play this is a wonderful game they can play together. Which gives me a break! 7-9 by themselves. This is a very fun game too with lots of action!

BUON DIVERTIMENTO!

My kids can actually play this one without getting lost in the rules. It’s fast and fun! It really isn’t anything at all like the regular risk game. But it’s a lot of fun!! Definitely a buy for younger kids.
