Berg Buddy
The media could not be loaded. I bought for my son, no endorsement. I have received no benefit from this review. I make videos as hobby. Nothing free.Item was a bit big for son at 3 but he is coming into this product well now. My son is now 42 inches tall. I think <38inch would be a bit small yet. Great product. I do wish the teeth on the crank were a bit closer together, (pay attention to when he rolls backward when he didn’t engage brake). Unfortunately this would help now (young age), but hurt top speed later (older age). This sometimes results in him getting frustrated when restarting from a stop on an incline). Investment worth doing again when my youngest boy is a touch bigger. Lots of fun. I carry (SHOTGUN Kids Ride MTB Tow Rope - Orange | Child Bike Stretch Bungee Cord Pull Behind Attachment), with me when we walk or ride with him for hills (up and down). Item is very fast if you allow it. Hence the tow rope until little ones are ready. Item will last 100 years if the rubber could last that long…..highly recommend despite this being a more premium cost item.

Top quality pedal car
Purchased this for my grandson's 2nd birthday. His Dad put it together and said it was relatively easy to assemble. This is a quality product, well built and should provide plenty of years of kid enjoyment. I just wanted to get him a nice pedal car, I remember I had a chain driven pedal car when I was a kid that I rode all of the time on the sidewalk. My grandson is a big kid, but is just able to reach the peddles. So, he hasn't been able to drive it around yet. we did have fun pushing him around while he steered! We figure 6 more months and he will be racing around. What I liked about it is you can pedal, coast without the pedals moving (like on a regular bike), reverse the pedals to stop and keep pedaling in reverse to go backwards. Also, you can adjust the seat as your kid gets taller. Overall I was really impressed with the product.

Super high quality (blue model)
I put together 3 different models, and this is by far the easiest of them to assemble. Took about 30minutes compared to 2-3 hours in some of the others. My 4 year old daughter loves it and is riding it very well. Will get many years of use out of this model. Frame is built incredibly well and super impressed with everything.People complaining about it being 1 wheel drive don't understand engineering, and it's like that for a reason. You can't turn with 2 wheel drive unless you have a differential like on a car :). Just look at the review with the guy who said he modified his and then found out it can't steer (in the photo reviews). You typically get what you pay for, and the quality of this is top notch.

Best Gift Ever
Berg Toys Junior Buddy - WhiteThis is the second Berg Junior Buddy we have purchased as a gift for a child within our family. My husband continues to be impressed with the quality and performance of this pedal go cart; he has assembled both vehicles after their delivery which occurred three years apart. He believes the engineering and performance of this toy's features are consistent with a safe breaking system, unobstructed visibility for the child driver, and accurate and responsive steering. The Berg Junior Buddy unexpectedly attracts considerable public attention when first seen in motion. We didn't anticipate how fast, smoothly and quietly, this toy vehicle can be propelled by pedal power alone. It never fails, both children and adults approach and inquire: Is it motorized? Is it custom made? How fast can it go? Can I try it? Where do you get one? Grown men are especially interested in the engineering. The children in our family wear safety helmets. My husband also mounts a Berg Safety Flag unit behind the driver's seat.. however, he is not satisfied with either the color (for optimum visibility) or the weight (wind sock flutter) .of the actual Berg Flag so he purchases a replacement flag.On her birthday, our 3 year old grand niece seated herself in the "pink car" and within minutes announced, "I drive just like Mommy."They have a large, flat driveway where we chalked a racing oval (with short cuts) on the surface for her to practice "revving her engine, braking on command and driving within her lane." It was truly amazing how skilled she quickly became maneuvering this pedal go cart, especially when compared to a tricycle, which is a tribute to the Berg design and quality manufacture.

Highly recommend
These karts are awesome. Perfect gift for 5 year old that is bicycle shy. I love riding it too but at 5’6” 125lbs – legs get cramped after a while but I still love racing the kids. I could easily be talked into buying the adult version. Turning radius is excellent and can easily transition from sidewalk to grass. Low center of gravity allows you to ride fast without fear of tipping on a turn. Two issues we have discovered so far; Braking can be tough for a little one and braking while traveling in reverse is very difficult. Another issue we have all experienced is bruising on the bony prominences on our lower backs. The seats are hard plastic and when you are pushing with your feet you are also pushing against the seat with your back and after 30 minutes or so of riding you end up with bruises on your back. Nothing a cushion couldn’t fix but it is something to consider.Craftsmanship is high quality. Extremely easy to put together, only one minor adjustment had to be made on the chain guard.

Great option over battery cars
I got this for my kid because I didn’t want to get the typical underpowered battery cars that I always see in the neighborhood. This is way cooler and is great exercise for the kids. I perhaps should have sized down for my 4yo, but I was hoping she wouldn’t quickly outgrow the new toy. She still doesn’t get the hang of braking, and tends to put her feet on the ground to slow down. She loves her “race car” and will definitely get even more use as she gets older. My only gripe is that the pedals only connect to one of the back wheels. I know it’s too much to ask to have a differential in a kiddie car, but it does make it more difficult for kids to propel.
