I have been a vegetarian for 53 years and something of a connoisseur of edible fungi. My daughter had bought me some of the teriyaki Pan's vegan jerky and it was love at first bite. It really is the best vegan jerky I've had, but understand that I already was writing love letters to my fungi favs. It has a lasting wonderful texture that most jerky fanatics are looking for though the flavor doesn't last quite as long and diminish in pizzazz after a few minutes. The ingredients are pretty much all organic which is an added plus.

We saw this on Shark Tank. Flavor would be ok but this is too difficult to chew. You cannot chew it. Much tougher than real jerky.

Wasn’t very flavorful. Could’ve been more teriyaki taste.. it was the consistency of meat jerky. If you’re a vegan and love jerky, this would be your alternative! Other than that stick with the real thing!

These are essentially dried mushrooms with seasoning cured into them. I was expecting ground and reshaped mushrooms - but these are whole or parts of shiitake mushrooms (which is fine). They are quite chewy - surprisingly so - which I think is a good thing in something you are calling jerky. The taste is mild, no an overly strong salty or sweet flavor. These are OK in my book. IMO a bit pricey as this is 2.2 ounces. Albeit, dried mushrooms are very light.

Sorry, but these are nothing more than favored dried mushrooms. They have no jerky taste or texture. It would be like calling a dried apricot with flavoring salt on it Jerky. It is not anything close to jerky (other than the name).I read a review on another website and was fooled into buying this pack. I tried. I wanted to love it. It is bad!I wish beyond beef would bring their Jerky back. It was 90% there (taste and texture).

I love this tasty, meaty, jerky. I've only had the teriyaki flavor but am interested in trying them all. I find the texture and moisture to be just right. Grocery stores are not carrying it yet, at least not in the DMV.

Besides being $24 for only 2.2 ounces ($11.00/ounce) there was absolutely no flavor to the mushroom jerky. The bag is so small I almost did not see it in the Amazon box. This is a “non-returnable” item, so no chance of getting a refund. 😡
