Prevue Pet Products SP42614-3 Flight Cage, Blue/White

I bought 2 of these after reading the other reviews. One is for my flock of parakeets (6) and the other for my family of lovebirds (4).These cages are a snap to put together, took about 15 -20 minutes each. I'm assuming a bit longer for someone not used to bird cages, but for me there were a breeze, didn't look at the instructions since the pieces were so obviously logical so can't comment on those. Nothing was bent or broken so no problems there either. 2) these cages are very similar to smaller once I am replacing but I liked the fact that there were no extra dish -openings at the top, only the middle door. The middle door (a small door inside a big one) is great for hanging toys. Upper feeding dishes are useless since they allow all the debris and bird poop to fall into the lower food dishes. If you have a lot of birds, you may just need to refill the dishes more often. Or hang some treats/snacks elsewhere in the cage. 3) The width and height of the cages are perfect (26 wide by 36 tall). They are rather narrow in depth (12in) , I wish they were just 2 inches deeper and then they would be perfect. 4) the weight of the cages is good since a small person like myself can still lift the cage with one hand ir needed. Carried from the bottom, they can be a bit unsteady due to the height of the cage. Grabbing by the sides might get you bit by the birds (not mine but it's possible) . Still the cages can go easily through the doors to be brought in in cold weather. I appreciate that they are light enough to be practical. They may feel a bit flimsy at first but once put together with all the pieces well attached to each other, they should last years without problem, if not mishandled. Sturdier cages are necessarily way heavier so that's the trade off. These cages are really perfect for the smaller birds 4) the black and brown cages are very pleasing. Simple, nothing superfluous and to distract from the beauty of the birds and to make it difficult to move or clean. Tray slides out easily for cleaning, thin grate on top of the tray prevents birds from messing with debris.I bought an aviary for my diamond doves but it's so huge, I'm considering returning it and purchasing a 3rd one of these instead. Light, simple, easy does it. Perfect.

When I received my package and I opened, I was pleasantly surprise. This cage exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend those thinking about buying it, to do so fast, because I don't think there are better cages at this price in amazon, and I did search the site.First of all, I bought this cage for 2 canaries that my brother was giving away. I don't like to keep birds caged (I think they must get very bored and sad in there) so I thought that, if I got the birds, I could buy a big cage for them so they could move around a little bit more. Then I found this cage which is big and at a bargain price.ABOUT THE CAGE: the cage has horizontal as well as vertical bars on either side of the cage (vertical on the front and back, and horizontal on left and right side), so you will not have trouble attaching your bird feeders. Also it comes with 2 cup feeder with cover so the bird droppings will not spoil the food/water, and also comes with 4 horizontal bars/perch. Those perches, I guess< work well for a small to medium size bird...even for a big one. ( I chose to use my own perches that I pruned from a small tree during spring)The cage also has 4 doors that slide up: 2 where you place the feeder cups, and 2 on the center (top and bottom), AND the two in the center, are part of 2 big doors, that have a mechanism to close securely. The top of the cage is removable too, in case you want to let your birds fly (it closes very securely as well)The bottom of the cage has a removable tray to clean your bird's droppings and food. I have not have any problem with the middle of the tray bending in the center, in fact I looks very well.Oh, and 4 times I thought i had scratched the bars with a scissor by mistake (I was trying to attach with a string a small perch that I made) but nothing happened to the cage's paint. So the quality of the paint is great.And the cage is very easy to assemble, in fact I didn't even had to look at the instructions.Overall, I could give this cage and the seller 10 starts if I could since the canaries are VERY happy, specially the female, she loves to fly around and be on her swing that I made for them. I see them stretching their wings and jump around. Very happy.I would like to thank the other reviewers. Thanks to them I was persuaded to buy this cage. I'm posting some photos with this review as well so you can have an idea on how big the cage is and how beautiful it is. I hope it helps! :-)

Es muy fácil de armar pero sobre todo ¡Es enorme! Tengo 2 Agapornis y es como un palacio para ellos, al inicio la dividí en 2, colocando una división por la mitad, y aún así ambos tenían suficiente espacio, ahora los tengo juntos sin división y el espacio es perfecto para todos sus juguetes. También es muy práctica para guardarla cuando tienes que salir de viaje.Lo único malo es que una parte de la puerta llegó un poco doblada, pero la puede arreglar a mano, y uno de los barrotes llegó desoldado, pero lo amare con alambre y no deja suficiente espacio para que se salgan mis aves.

This cage arrived quickly and was very easy to put together. Other than a couple of slightly bent wires, the condition of the cage was great. After putting in the 4 perches and 2 seed cups I added my own manzanita and natural sand perches and additional seed cups. There is plenty of room for toys. My two budgies, particularly the young male, is just thrilled with the cage. They have been flying around and having such fun since they were put in. True budgie paradise! I would not recommend this cage for larger birds as it is not sturdy enough. Great for budgies, finches, and canaries. This is a really good cage for the price.UPDATE: I now have 2 out of control male budgies and this cage is ideal for them. There is enough room to flap around. I have bought a variety of rope branches and a wooden bridge and they all attach easily onto the bars. I also have a bird heater with a cord placed between the bars and I have had no issues with the bars breaking or losing shape. I have owned the cage for a couple of years now and I have had no issues with it. I have placed the cage on an Ikea wheeled cart and I can easily move the cage around.

Der Käfig ist gut zusammenzubaun.Ich habe andere Futternäpfe hinein getan.Leider fehlt an der unteren Tür die Veriegelung. Muss bei Amazon mal anrufen.

What a FANTASTIC cage, totally gorgeous. Well made, easy to construct, large, strong, user friendly and just so pretty. I can not recommend this cage enough. My birds are so happy!

This thing is huge for sure, but our 2 budgies are much happier with all the space to move about.
