Great safe if you’re realistic about what you’re buying
This is a great safe. A lot of the negatives I’ve read say that it’s not sturdy enough, but it’s plenty sturdy for what it is. If you think you’re going to store a priceless gun like the one from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels in this, then you might want to spring for something more expensive. However, this safe is great if you want to keep your guns secure from kids or houseguests, and it serves as an extra obstacle for thieves—yes, if given enough time they could get into it, eventually, but this safe will at least prevent a burglar from just stumbling across your guns. The other criticism is about the fingerprint reader. Yes, it has a harder time reading fingerprints if it’s dirty. Solution? Wipe it off every once in a while. There’s also a keypad and manual keys if you prefer to use those, and they work 100% of the time. I’d ignore all the dramatic comments about the fingerprint reader not working 100% on the first try ( lots of dramatic “your life may depend on it!” comments on here) and just realize that you have other options for opening it if it’s that big a deal. Frankly I keep this safe in the closet and another gun by my bed—I don’t see how jumping up and running to this safe in an emergency should be anyone’s plan in the first place. I have to say though, if the thing you’re worried about is that you’ll hear a noise in your house jump out of bed, run to the closet, only to get murdered just because your fingerprint didn’t read the first time (and you didn’t just use the keypad) then I guess it’s just your time to go. It’s solid, it’s a good price, it’s easy to set up, it can store 5-6 average size long guns (and if you reach out for the door organizer then several handguns as well) and has a neat extra lockbox for papers or ammo or the secret plans that reveal the one weakness of the Death Star. All this and it’s reasonably priced. Will it protect the Crown Jewels from master thieves? No, but you don’t own those anyway.

Great safe, great value
If you want to add a layer of security, while still allowing for firearms to be readily available, this safe is a great option. The fingerprint opening was very easy to program and has worked every time for me, even when I attempt to turn my finger at weird angles to make it harder. My son has also tried to open it without his prints being added and couldn’t fool it. The push button keypad is a nice option too and I can almost open it just as fast with that. There is ample room for the 5 guns inside and it fits a mossberg 28” barrel shotgun with room to spare. Mine is bolted to the concrete floor and the wall stud, so they would have to be super determined to rip it out. It is sturdy enough, that is will definitely slow a thief down, or at least make him have to leave to go and get power tools. It is not air tight or fire rated, but you wouldn’t expect that for the price. Cons: - I’m not a fan of the foam pad in the back wall that the firearms slot into. The connection point is just a slot cut in the foam, so it moves around a fair bit, but If it bugs me that much in the long run, I’ll rig up something else. - The bolts provided are not the best and I found it hard to get them tight, so I went to the store and got some decent concrete bolts and apoxy and this thing is now rock solid.

A sturdy, well made "Strong Box"
Let me start by saying that this item was well packaged from the factory with high density foam, and although the carton did bear some battle scars from shipping, the cabinet was in pristine condition. This cabinet is a secure "Strong Box" as opposed to it being a safe and is meant to safeguard weapons and make it extremely difficult for anyone to access them. I am confident that after securing this cabinet to my wall with the appropriate anchors, it will be very discouraging to would-be thieves to have to spend the amount of time it would take to actually access it. The programming of the biometric scanner was straight forward after I figured out where the red and green programming re-set buttons were located. (inside the door on the hinge side). It would have helped if I took the time to read the booklet cover to cover first..Lol The other frustration was not first knowing that the door should remain in the open and in unlocked position while trying to reprogram the digital code. Once I cleared that hurdle, it was smooth sailing. It is nice that the cabinet comes with emergency access keys that are covered under a lifetime replacement warranty if you ever lose them, so be sure to copy down the cabinet's serial number as well as the serial numbers of the keys. * VERY IMPORTANT: This cabinet comes pre-programmed with two default digital codes of "111" and "123". Both codes need to be programmed, otherwise if you only program the first default code and forget to reprogram the second one, it can easily be opened by anyone who tries "123". UPDATE 07/17/2020 I have found the fingerprint scanner to be pretty finicky at times even after cleaning the lens. I've had to clear out the previous prints and re-enter them a few times, and program different fingers but it is still doesn't open every time on the first attempt, which I find to be annoying. I did receive the complimentary door organizer as promised by the seller, and this thing is very well made and pretty much indestructible. It is constructed of rugged materials and is designed with clips that are simple to install and remain in place. Over all, I am very pleased with this cabinet and door panel organizer. Thank you! As you can see in the photo, I attached a simple base constructed out of scrap 2x6 pine lumber and a piece of 14" plywood that was spray painted black to blend it in with the cabinet. The purpose of the base is to elevate it from my garage floor to protect it from any potential water seepage and it elevates it a bit to ease bending while using the cabinet.
