I got this to chase out lines in a septic drainfield that had plugged over time. I have to say, I was impressed. I mean, for what it costs ... this ... is ... amazing. Could it be cheaper? Yeah, there's not much to it. And it's EASY. Snakes and those spinning grinder snakes ... are kind of nasty and I worry that they're going to get caught (irrational, I know). But this kind of cleans itself as it goes - a nice upshot. The steel snake I sometimes used was unwieldy to roll back up and would rust if not cleaned.The Good:[] The kit includes a standard male quick-disconnect. This allows the kit to connect to a very wide range of pressure washers with a nearly-universal, non-proprietary, connector. I was able to connect it directly to the "squeeze trigger" of my washer, allowing for "on off" use without starting and stopping the pressure washer.[] The kit includes a "direct to pressure washer discharge pump" connector; but then you lose the easy "squeeze trigger" on/off functionality. I didn't use it but it's good to know it's provided.[] The "jetting head" (1 forward / 3-45 degree backward) was able to lift itself off of the bottom of the pipe and propel itself forward gently with even the lowest throttle setting on my 3100 PSI gas washer. All I had to do was feed the line gently and it pulled itself in.[] I was concerned about using this on the thin drainfield lines of my septic field. I read in some forums that a kit like this could cut through the walls of thin pipes. And, I bet that's true ... if you run it at a very high pressure But, if you have a variable throttle pressure washer, this should work even for very thin plastic pipes. I tested it on corrugated shop vac hose just to try it ... and it didn't cut through. For standard schedule 40 PVC or ABS, clay, and iron pipe, this isn't going to be a concern; run it at 3000 PSI if you like.The Questionable:[] When I received it ... I kind of thought it would be something special. Nope. It's just a 50' length of high-pressure hose with threads at both ends and some attachments. I find it really hard to believe that this couldn't be sold for $15. There's very little to it other than the specialized heads.[] When playing with it cleaning my shop vac hoses (no idea, got bored) I noticed that, when NOT spraying, the molded plastic hand-hold got hung up on the lip of the hose. I can't imagine it would happen when pressurized. The only reason I mention ... is that I installed a rubber Fernco 4" clay to 4" PVC adapter in the main run of my sewer line. It tends to "grab" the other snake I have, though I've always been able to get it around that.[] I would strongly recommend drying it completely if you plan to use it again and again. I have no idea what the head is made of, and I'm concerned that it could rust, plugging the holes.Durability:No idea, but if the hose ever breaks, you could just replace it with just about any threaded high-pressure (>400PSI) hose.

We live in a senior mobile home park in central Florida and need our sewer line cleaned annually (ugh). Cost is crazy ($600) because it generally catches us by surprise when bathroom or kitchen overflow. We bought this jetter for $40 and it works wonders. We can stay out in front of problem by scheduling our own clean-out. My husband is thrilled with the quality and ease of use not to mention the savings. He just finished his first cleaning and wanted to share how easy and efficient this equipment is.

Purchased this after my 25 ft. Husky power auger couldn't clear a mass of roots and debris in my 2 inch roof drain pipe. Ordered the parts and everything arrived in perfect condition (although the package was not secured---it literally was sent in the off-the-shelf box without any tape over the box tab to secure the contents inside. Luckily the items were in a sealed plastic bag inside).Long story short, I hooked this the hose to my 1800 PSI pressure washer and that was more than enough pressure to clear the clog in a matter of minutes. The hose has a quick-disconnect that attaches to the wand of most pressure-washers. I used the nozzle tip that has a forward-shooting jet and three backwards-shooting jets and that seemed to work very well. I didn't try the rotating nozzle, but that might be great for routine maintenance. I did find it hard to negotiate sharp 90 degree bends, but that was expected. The 50 foot line was more than enough to send down my two-story roof drain.

After years of renting a hydrojet at $79.00 for 4 hours due to a poorly designed system (or a daughter that cooks up hamburger and thinks all grease should go down the drain). I purchased this in hopes that it would be at least useable for minor clogs. As fate would have it, the annual grease clog was back the day before it arrived. The kit arrived and was quickly put into action. At this time I was actually very skeptical of the unit, I have done this several times and each time has been several minutes of blasting threw the clog and then pulling back, back and forth over and over, for about 30 minutes or more each time. NOT THIS TIME!! I hit the clog with the water off just to see how far out it was, I started my pressure washer, and had my son (assistant) pull the trigger on the wand. In under two minutes the clog was broken, I spent another 5 minutes going back and forth just to make sure it was good and clear. It worked like a dream!!! Money saved in one use, 34 dollars this year, next year 79, and 79 the following year! I simply was blown away by how well this worked, and would certainly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Hooked to my 3100psi pressure washer, stuck it about 2' down the cleanout, fired up the washer, and pulled the trigger, and then there arose a great cloud of mist and other cr@p. After pushing it a few feet further down the pipe (actually it pulls itself with the rear facing jet nozzle) the cloud subsided, but there was still a decent amount of air and contaminates coming from the pipe (4"). I was able to put the entire length in the pipe, and made two trips down and back at a slow pace. Pulled it out, and went around to the front of the house and did the same thing back toward the house from the front cleanout, and also toward the septic tank.Inspecting the pipe showed me that it did remove a lot of the calcium scale and should help prevent future problems with a once or twice a year treatment. Our sewer pipe system under the double-wide does not have the recommended 1/8" slope, in fact it's closer to 1/16"/ft and that's what I was able to get it up to after routing the pipe via a shorter direction. With our well water being about 1200ppm on solids, calcium buildup from the aquifer water is a constant problem so this hose should save me some of the clogging problems I've had in the past.

Had a plugged drain field pipe for septic, and it worked trough one that was very plugged with no issues only time and patience.

Hose is cheap. It bends well - but lack of reinforcement = short life. I blew the hose after 2 hours use.I was only using a 3000psi 2.5gpm pressure washer.Couplers and nozzles worked well.

I returned the product, as the hose is too flexible to properly go into culverts or pipes, as it always binds on itself. I returned the product after trying to use it for its specified abilities.
