Women's Pocahontas

I'm always hesitant with buying clothing items online, especially Halloween costumes. They never seem to fit right; too short, too big, scratchy, the list goes on. Seeing that this was a one-size-fits-all made me even more nervous. I'm 5'5" at 130lbs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually fits perfectly, not even just for my body type. The belt it comes with is basically just a long piece of fabric. The dress itself is a rather large rectangle (without the belt it's kind of like a Fred Flinstone shape) so the belt allows you to tie the dress to your body for the perfect fit around the waist and looks great! The length goes down to my knees as it does on the woman on the photo so it's definitely a family-friendly costume. I have to wear it to work as a server so I am confident I will be covered at all times while doing my job both on the top and bottom. The top fits snugly, and the dress is simple enough that, if you're sewing savvy (I am not), it would be really easy to make alterations. The necklace, however, is a joke. It is literally just a blue piece of felt (not shiny or thick as it appears in the photo) with a small piece of Velcro slapped on. You would be better off making your own necklace in my opinion. the frill things on the top do not go onto the back, it is on the front only, but I honestly don't think it looks bad. I wore a black bra and underwear with this dress and absolutely nothing was visible so I was pleased with the thickness (dress itself is rather thin and light, but I am referring to thickness as in undergarment visibility). Overall, VERY pleased with the purchase. Cheap and it works!

Fits much too big but I guess that's the chance you take with a one size fits all. The accessories - arm bands and "necklace" are cheap strips of fabric. Didn't end up wearing it for Halloween.

Costume was totally different then what was shown!

The dress was perfect and exactly what i wanted. The necklace however was NOTHING like the picture. It is obvious it's not a REAL necklace, but that's not the problem. Instead of the baby blue sheer colored fabric, it is a Navy blue felt with velcro at the end. Even then I might not be too upset if it was cut even! I measured and the left half of the necklace was 1.3 centimeters longer than the other. The numbers may not sound like much but it is obvious to anyone who glances at it. Even THEN it could be cut even to look better, but the necklace fits like a coller sticking up around your neck because the material will not lay flat. Just for reference, I am 5'6 and 135 lbs. The dress fit perfect. I hope this is helpful to anyone buying. It is the ONLY dress I could find that looked closest to the Disney Pocahontas. I would recommend buying this dress and purchasing/creating your own necklace. You really do get what you pay for.
