OPIS 60s MOBILE: designer retro phone/rotary dial telephone/retro style phone/vintage telephone with mobile phone technology (red)

I brought the Opis for my elderly mother who can't cope with smart phones. She is over the moon with the design and ease of use, one of her friends in the care home has brought one since she has had hers.The criticisms are it could do with a lid on top of the SIM card and the entering of remembered numbers long winded .

The phone was bought for an 89 year old gentleman who is in a Residential Home, who could not manage a mobile phone. He can now phone us whenever he wants to speak to us, and we can phone him without bothering the Care Home staff. A great buy.Frank at OPIS Technology who sold the phone was very helpful.

Bought for my dad but tempted to get one myself. Lovely style, nice bright blue, no volumn control but just loud enough. Got fed up paying for a landline on a phone that only received incoming calls.Delivery by DHL left a little to be desired, left outside a neighbours, no card or message to say which one, luckily the trust worthy one.

I bought the phone to replace my landline (Which I hardly ever use) It's a great looking phone and is a good quality build. It does everything it says on the box!The only reason I give it a three star rating and not five is because, being quite deaf, I bought the hEar model because it has a volume control for the ringer. I was hoping it would have a loud low pitch electronic ring for incoming calls, but unfortunately it is a high pitch electronic ring (Albeit loud enough for normal hearing people) Like a lot of deaf people I don't hear high frequencies very well and unfortunately this means I miss most incoming calls, even on the max volume setting - so I am rather disappointed with this aspect of it. However the clarity of speech through the earpiece is excellent when my hearing aid is set to the 'T' setting.To sum up I would buy it again because I like the look of it, but I can't see it replacing my landline which has a loud low pitch warble for incoming calls which I can hear even when I'm not wearing my hearing aid.I was very impressed with the delivery time, it arrived within 3 working days of ordering and was very well packaged.

I am very impressed with the overall quality of the item. I have a collection of genuine vintage phones that I use at home and wanted to be able to use something similar at work. The Opis phone is very robust and I use it to make and receive between 50-60 calls a day with no problem. It is very simple to set up and I used all nine of the speed dial numbers. The manual is very simple and translates well into English. My only slight criticism would be the cord. The phone I ordered was a lovely Chinese red colour but the curly flex was black. Also it seems a bit thinner than the more modern counterparts. Nevertheless it takes five minutes to set up and is a real conversation piece and very quirky. I would highly recommend it! The phone has a vintage feel and quality weight to it that is lacking in modern versions that I detest.

a bit expensive and shame you cant have messages left on it, but other than that very good nice solid phone and one my 86 year old father can understand how to use

Bought for my elderly aunt who is in a nursing home and not able to manage a mobile phone. Phone is very solid and well built. Easy to set up. A problem developed with the power supply which became faulty but was efficiently dealt with and a replacement power supply was sent.Very pleased with Opis customer service
