Cold Steel Brooklyn Smasher, Black, 34 Inch

I got this for home defense and chose this bat for it's durablitly coupled with it's light weight. It feels like it is a quality made bat that will not break and has a non slip grip feel to it. I am older and wanted the longer bat and I do like it's length and now am thinking about other shorter bats in this same brand

I like this as much as I like my firearms collection. It's a heavy sucker, but it is the right length. The surface has a texture that allows for a better grip, but a little batter's tape could also be used. It's Cold Steel, so I know the quality is there. I slapped a "townie" sticker on it, plus another from Fenway Pahhhk, and it sits on the nightstand ready to protect the homestead.

Am writing this review after 10+ years of ownership of one. I think this is an excellent product, find it more durable than a regular baseball bat. While I have hit a few baseballs at a batting cage with it, I mainly keep it by my bedside side in case there are any unexpected bumps in the night. Depending on your needs, you may want to opt for one of the shorter variations, but whatever the size, I would expect it to live up to the Cold Steel name. Would recommend this product.

This is not a piece of sports equipment. This is a weapon and should not be purchased for children! I bought this because buying a bat that doesn't break on the first day is not an easy accomplishment without spending lots of money. My son is a weekend warrior and wanted to learn how to play baseball. I had purchased aluminum and wood bats in the past but they either broke or bent. I thought this bat sounded like the answer. It wasn't. Even a grown man would have to be the hulk to use this as a baseball bat. I ended up forking out the extra money for an expensive bat after seeing the look on my sons face as he tried to swing this seconds after the ball had already passed! Put it by your bed as protection and it's worth the money!

Now I know that swinging around 2.5 pounds of plastic is hard. I have newfound respect for the people in the past who wielded such heavy swords with such grace. The bat has a satisfying weight, well-balanced and ideal for swinging at anything, bamboo or otherwise. It even dents hardwood! It proves effective against opponents heavily armored against piercing but vulnerable to impact, haha! A great survival tool if you're in an area where guns and sharp objects are banned, like in California, New York or Canada.(in any woke place fml) If not, it's an excellent choice for honing your forearm strength and combat skills.

I have used this bat for stretch and light rehab. I am 50 have enjoyed having a bat again. I'm not hitting yet, but I'm getting back in shape. This bat feels indestructible as described. I think it is perfect for a workout warm-up and stretching. I'm really impressed. The handle is a thicker profile than normal so my hands also get exercise. If I hit with this, batting gloves will be a must. Written by a real man, not a paid fan.

Nice design and quality

Roaring twenties are back and we all need a baseball bat. So, yes, this thing is really, really heavy. I weigh about as much as a feather on a good day and it has nearly knocked my shoulder out of joint several times. But, with some grip-tape added to the handle, this thing packs a wallop, is somewhat manageable, and I love it. Living around a city, which has taken on a new meaning in 2020 and 2021, it just pays to be vigilant and this really is a street weapon of war. Can't imagine someone recovering from any type of hit from this direct or not. Feel safer with it in the car (for an emergency game of baseball obviously), or just in the house. It isn't going to stop an attacker with a gun, but if someone is threatening you in close range this will keep them back... I assume, unless they've never seen a baseball bat before. Which poses other questions/problems. Also, if you aren't purposely trying to break this thing in half (which people in the reviews seem to be in some sort of weird competition over) it most likely will survive. I encourage people to purchase this and just see what the fuss is about. You won't be sorry.

Heavy and solid, won't break and should last a life time. Useful for practice as the weight should build a good swing.

Pretty sturdy and heavy bat, made out of wood, the labels are stickers and can be removed, very satisfied.

Se trata de un bate muy robusto, nada mas cogerlo y sentir el peso notas la calidad. Cold Steel es una empresa que fabrica excelentes artículos para entrenamiento en defensa personal y creo que este producto va encaminado hacia esa dirección. Dicho esto, en mi opinión, considero que se trata de un bate de decoración y para dar "tranquilidad" al hogar, lo digo porque su peso es considerable al estar fabricado en una especie de pasta irrompible muy dura y una sesión de bateo con el puede pasar factura al hombro. Ya depende de las necesidades de cada uno.

Nice and Solid. A bit too heavy though The weight is still manageable for a full-grown adult male, who is big sized, as me. But even then, I can't swing it that fast. It would be quite challenging for most people, since they would be smaller than me. I give it 4 stars as a melee weapon
