Delicious coffee and experience
I had a friend who had one of these and I already know it was great. These are the things I love about it: 1) a good coffee ground will be delicious. You have total freedom to control the water temperature and preparation time, as it is entirely manual; 2) I love how easy it is to dispose of the used coffee. You just pop the compressed ground in the garbage bin and clean the rest; and 3) It is great to prepare a coffee while socializing. Everyone loves it and the preparation process, even those who usually say they don't like to drink coffee.I consider the price a little bit high, but it delivers a great experience and proportional quality. I recently moved and couldn't find a good coffee machine nearby. This one was perfect.

Very impressed.
I purchased this for an upcoming cruise (that buffet coffee is just awful). I am so impressed with this little device. Now I am relatively new to coffee and would consider myself a fairly standard coffee drinker, albeit with a developing palette that appreciates a good brew. What I like about this is how easy it is to use and moreover how easy it is to clean. It really does produce an amazing cup of coffee, quickly and without any mess. It’s so portable that it now lives in my work bag having made its successful debut at my desk. No longer shall I suffer cheap work coffee now I have my magic Aeropress. For those of you, like me that wondered if this would be much different to your standard French press - it is. Put simply, the coffee you get out of this, even with the same grinds is far superior and less bitter thanks to the pressure and filters (which are dirt cheap). It’s also far easy to clean. The only issue I can see is the go version really is a single serve device, but because you can make your brew so quickly this really isn’t an issue in my opinion.Far from just being used on the cruise, this press will be part of my daily routine as I move around with work. Thumbs up!

If you love coffee: buy this.
If you love coffee: just buy it!I bought this because I was travelling and staying with family who don't drink coffee. Instead, they have that terrible instant stuff in the cupboard which, while being a testament to the achievement of marketeers, is... well it's just not coffee.Enter AeroPress. There's a fair few fancy, handheld coffee makers out there at the moment that will make you a thimble full of espresso (or maybe two thimblefuls if you are lucky) via the medium of a capsule thingy. I looked at those, but when I want a coffee I want a mug of the stuff, not a slight whiff of it that is gone in a sip or two.For my purposes, this works just fine. It's compact, portable, lightweight (if you are travelling with it) easy to use, easy to clean and you get a great big cup of coffee. Obviously, you do need the ground coffee of your choice as well, I hope and trust that goes without saying. It replaces the need for a percolator or bean to cup machine that I was most definitely not going to buy for one of my relations. The little paper filters (350 per pack) are great and the metal filters work well too (in my humble opinion the filter papers do a better job).If you are hiking about and want to take this with you, you will need to find a way of taking or making the hot water. Then again, if you are hiking about and are looking at this you probably already have a solution to that problem.I have seen a few comments about 'this could be better designed' or 'that could be better designed' but the bottom line is it all packs up inside itself and gives you the power of coffee on the go for under £30. It's a great idea. It's well thought out. It works a treat. Are you still reading this? Just buy one!

Coffee lovers must have
Bought as a Christmas gift for a coffee lover. We use it frequently now. Everything packs and fits away perfectly into the cup which is great. Has everything you need with it. We love to make coffee with this. Cleans up easily (easier than a cafetiere in my opinion). Makes great coffee (provided you buy good quality beans!).

Great coffee in handy package.
The Aeropress is an impressive device. It makes great-tasting coffee (much better than a French press cafetiere or a Nespresso machine in my view), is cheap compared to the cost of fancy machines that make comparable-quality coffee, and this new edition packs down into a handy portable package. Definitely recommended.Minor issues to note:1. If you brew your coffee using the standard method, the liquid starts dripping through the filter immediately and possibly before it has brewed for your preferred length of time and before you have pressed the plunger. This is particularly the case with coarse ground coffee. This is only a minor issue -- the resulting coffee still tastes great and if you use finer ground (espresso) coffee you'll find this issue is reduced - so using fine ground coffee is my recommendation.2. If you use the (unofficial) inverted method (for a longer/ more controlled brew), you need to be careful to avoid the two parts separating spontaneously and spewing scalding coffee out. This is a particular issue with this smaller travel edition - the cylinder is shorter than that of the regular Aeropress, so it is tempting to insert the plunger the minimum possible distance to leave the maximum space in the cylinder for the brew. However, this increases the risk that the two halves separate spontaneously - this happened to me once, making a big mess. A co-worker scalded herself badly in a similar incident. Many coffee aficionados prefer the inverted method, and it does make great coffee, but you do need to be more careful if you use the Aeropress this way.3. The aesthetics of the device will not be to everyone's taste. It's solid, practical and satisfying, but most people would stop short of describing it as pretty.

Great coffee
Great item to take camping, makes excellent quality coffee. Also comes with plenty of filters and a small case to travel with a few. Really easy to wash.
