Bought for my mom after her surgery. works wonderful. think I want one now.

I am a type 4 natural and am in the market for a very lightweight/compact blow dryer with variable heat and speed. I have thick hair and shoulder issues, and my other hairdryers were either too heavy or bulky to use for the tension method to stretch, not straighten my hair. This dryer is great in that it is SUPER light. It's just too powerful for my needs. I honestly think all hair dryers these days should have options that range from cool to low to high heat so that they can meet all hair needs. This dryer is great if you have high heat/straightening needs, but if you need low heat, this won't do. The temperature options are off, cool, 2, and 3. This dryer would have been perfect if there was a '1'. The 2 option at the lowest velocity was still waaaaaay too hot and would likely result in heat damage and dryness if used often. Oh well, I had high hopes. I used low heat and medium speed as well as the cool option to seal. Perfect results! This dryer would be perfect if it were a little lighter but it did not cause shoulder pain like my others do.

My old hair dryer was sparking when I was using it, so it was time for a replacement. I have never used Confu before, but liked the look and reviews of this one. It is VERY quiet! It amazes me how quiet it is, I think I could use it in my room with my fiance sleeping and not wake him. It is light, and smaller than most which is great. Drying power is decent. I am not sure that its any faster than my old hair dryer. I have rather long hair, and it gets caught in the filter in the back frequently, which is annoying and can be painful. The settings of heat and airflow are great. I have only used the concentration nozzle, it works well. I feel like its not as concentrated as my old one, but all in all its doing its job.

I just received this dryer and I've only used it once so far. I was really surprised that it is just not that powerful. I have thick hair so I'm really bummed. I love the size and feel of the dryer. It has a nice option to change the speed of the wind, I only wish it were stronger. If you have thick hair, this may not be the best dryer. I really want to like it so I'll give it another try but I think it may take a little longer to dry my hair with this dryer.

I bought this dryer because I dont want to pay $400 for a Dyson. I've used it at the salon where I work for a few days now. At first, it was great. Yesterday it overheated while I blowdryed a client. I unplugged it and gave it a rest, as this was a client with very long thick hair. Good thing I had a back up dryer. After about 10 minutes, I plugged it back in and it overheated once more. I'm disappointed that I'll have to return it. I was impressed with how quiet and fast it dried the hair and how lightweight it is. As a busy stylist, I use my dryer constantly, so I have no time to waste waiting for it to cool off after overheating. For the price, which was a great deal...I at least expected it to work for more than a week.

The blow dryer itself is awesome. The look is super sleek and it a good knockoff for the dyson one. Biggest and only problem i have with it is that the air isnt super strong. The strongest air setting does not push out a ton of air. I am keeping it though because i have sensitive dry hair and the calmer the air flow the better for me to try to stay away from a lot of breakage. Otherwise this is a great product.

I had it for just over 2 years, and it was great at leaving the hair soft and smooth, but I noticed the handle would get really hot if it was on for more than 10 minutes at a time. If it would get to that point, it would shut off on its own, and I couldn’t use it again till it cooled down. This morning, I wasn’t even 2 minutes into using it, and it caught fire internally. Again, so great for it’s purpose, but it couldn’t handle its own heat I guess.

I like that it is lightweight and that it comes with a diffuser and concentrator. Having very curly hair, I’ve only used the diffuser. It fits well and doesn’t fall off.I don’t like that the heat varies when it’s on the same level. Level one is a little too cool for drying, but level two gets warmer as you’re using it. For this price point, I can excuse this. I would assume that the $400 Dyson is perfect, but who knows??
