Got the CrispLid to replace the Instant Pot Vortex Oven air fryer I had been using.CrispLid:- Easy to use. Extremely simple operations - plug it in, click down the handle, set the temperature and time, and press start.. That's it - no function buttons or presets. Thank goodness, too!- See-through lid is a great feature, making it easier to monitor food as it's cooking.- Cooks just fine. I had to adjust the temperatures/times a bit, as it seemed cooler than the other air fryer I was using. But no big deal, just an adjustment.- Comes with wide, shallow basket and high trivet, which is a good option since I already had the lower trivet from my Instant Pot, and I have greater flexibility as either trivet can be used with the air fryer.- Quiet operation. At least compared to the other air fryers I've used, the fan is so much quieter!- Wattage is lower at 1000W, which, for my kitchen set up, is better and much safer, and yet still gets the job done!- Much smaller than other stand alone air fryers, which for my set up is a blessing!Things to consider (not necessarily cons, but...):- While the CrispLid itself is about 5 inches high, you need to add that it sits on top of the Instant Pot pot, which is a couple of inches. Then, to operate the CrispLid requires the handle being lifted, which is another 5 inches in height. Then, you need space to lift the lid up and off the IP. So, if you're limited on your vertical space, keep these aspects in mind.- Safety. Because you're moving the actual heating element, be mindful of burning, well, anything - yourself, your counter, pets, other people. It comes with a handy silicon trivet on which to rest the hot CrispLid, and yay for that. But I would not want young kids handling this thing, or anyone who might struggle with strength or motor control. Just saying.- Temperature adjustment. As said above, compared to a couple other air fryers I used, this is a bit cooler. So either add temperature, or time, or maybe preheat the CrispLid before adding food.

I just got it about 4 days ago. It is really was easy to use. My son made himself chicken strips and tater tots. He said that they were crispier than when he does them in the oven and It made them taste better. I made a whole pressure-cooked chicken and then browned it to give it a rotisserie look. That was a little more difficult because you have to take out the chicken and turn it to brown all around. However, it worked okay, not terrific but okay. So far I am happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who already has a 6 or 8 qt pressure cooker and doesn't want to buy an air fryer or a whole pressure cooker and air fryer combo. Mealthy products seem to be well made and when I have the money for a new pressure cooker I will buy the Mealthy PC it has more capabilities than my Cooks Companion Pressure cooker, and is very well-reviewed.

Was considering a standalone air fryer, but not sure how much I would use it - Mealthy works great and helps save counter space. The Instant Pot is already out a lot, and this goes right in top. I like that I can make a few pieces of chicken without heating up the whole house with the oven or having to wash huge sheet pans - also nice that it is quick due to not having to preheat the oven - bone in chicken thighs only take 25 minutes and are ready as the same time as side dishes cooked on the stove. I have experimented a little with baking - the canned biscuits had air fryer directions in them. I found that it works better to bake in a low trivet - the air fryer basket is too close to the heating element. Does not seem to make pretty baked goods, but ok for cookies if looks are not a worry. Would be a great addition for a van or RV situation with an Instant Pot.

I was skeptical even after purchase but this lid for your pressure pot is pretty amazing. It converts my InstantPot 8qt into an air fryer by simply swapping out the lid.It's a smart lid of sorts. Simply place it on top of your pressure cooker in the same place you would normally place your pressure lid only this one doesn't have to be fastened or twisted into place. It simply lays on top of the pot insert so make sure you have it in before placing using the crisp lid.It comes with a wire stand and basket to place the items you are frying. You need to have air circulation all around the food you are cooking/crisping so it's not ideal to place it directly on the bottom of the pot. There is also a silicone mat to place the hot lid when immediately removing while cooking. This way you can move or flip whatever you are frying and not be left holding the hot lid in the other hand.When I saw the digital display screen I immediately felt like this would be complicated to use but this was not the case. It's really as easy as setting a temperature and timer followed by the start button. So far I've had success with hash brown patties and chicken but there appears to be so much more it can do. I feel like I am just scratching the surface with it after only a few weeks.There is a built-in safety feature that will shut-off the lid when removing it. The cool thing is that it remembers where the timer left off as well as the temperature. When you replace the lid to continue cooking it's as if it never stopped. Just hit the start button when the lid has been replaced securely.I don't know about other brands of this type of lid so I have nothing to compare it in an apples-to-apples comparison but I will say I definitely got my money's worth.

I am amazed by this product. Was a little hesitant. Happy I bought it. So far have done wings and beef tips. It fits my instant pot !!

I had a bigger air fryer but it was Teflon. I wanted to get away rom Teflon for me and our bird.I bought this as a lid for my existing air fryer. I love it. It's smaller but is adequate for 2 people. I make lots of vegan dishes in it.With parchment paper, there's hardly any clean up and foods are healthier (not sauteed or fried in oil).

Love it. Fits well on 6 qrt Instant Pot. Made a few things from the recipe book turned out great. Lots of recipes online as well. Always wanted an air frier now I have the best of both worlds with my Instant Pot.

Super easy to use..have only made fries so far and learning to adjust cook times to preferred "doneness". Looking forward to trying more things with it.

J'ai acheté cet article pour installer sur mon IP 8qt. J'ai esseyé les frites immédiatement quand j'ai recu. Les frites cuisent mais ne deviennent pas croustillante. J'ai aussi utilisé pour gratiner des pommes de terre dauphinoises, fonctionne vraiment bien.

As I'm scared to deep fry, this was an awesome purchase for me! I also like that it doesn't need to preheat, so things get cooked faster then using a conventional oven.
