The Sculpting Techniques Bible: An Essential Illustrated Reference for Both Beginner and Experienced Sculptors Spiral-bound – September 8, 2006

I am just getting started in sculpture and this book reveals the whole treasure trove. If you can find a copy, snag it...you won't regret it!

I've been mulling over how to make some new projects I have in mind, but I just haven't been able to settle on a medium. I've been wondering what else might be out there to try. this book really gave me ideas and a quick overview of what's what. I found it very helpful. I would have given it 5 stars if it were bigger and had more info. I was craving more.

This is a short book, very easy to read. I found that in several chapters, there was not a lot of detail. At first I thought this was a drawback, but I found that I could figure out the small details by myself, and the brevity actually helped--it would have been much longer and perhaps daunting if the book listed every single step.I like that the book lies flat when opened.

As an art teacher I thought this book would be too basic, but I was wrong! It's a very good introduction to a variety of sculpture techniques and covers a surprising array of details. I've used information from this book to teach a ceramic sculpture class to adults.

I bought this for my grandchildren who love sculpting. They seem to enjoy the information and one grand daughter got recognition at the county fair and was invited to take her work to the state fair.

I was trying to find out some specific questions about firing clay and glazes. Didn't answer my questions!

Easy to fallow and lots of information in a easy to understand format. Look forward to trying some of the technigues.

this is great how to do sculpture of all kinds . great for self study or use during classes in art color plates too add up to fine book great writing too ..
