very well presented and definitely a joy to use
you may want to say this is just the paul rubens glitter paint and while i cant compare paint formula so i cant tell you either way. they definitely did take the things people really rave about with the paul rubens presentation. the paint comes in a pastel teal box and within that box is a nice chamois style cloth. wrapped in that is the tin itself which they were kind enough to roll the metal edges on. the fold out mixing space holds itself up very well. mine did come with it a little bent out of shape but it just needs an extra push to fold down and its likely a very soft metal like aluminum so i cant say im really mad about it. those are the risks you take when you buy anything online.the paints themselves are lovely. some pans did get bubbles trapped in them though so after filling out the included swatch card a few did show to be less filled than they seemed. as with all glitter mica filled paints a good drop of water and a minutes soak makes them come out like cream and the colors have different glitter colors put in to complement the paint color. overall very pleased with this purchase.

Nice packaging, great color and shine
I haven't had a chance to do much with these yet but I swatched the colors on the chart provided (nice touch) and the colors are rich and creamy. I was impressed with the packaging-- a very nice metal palette and it came in a cardboard box that is pretty enough for gifting, just add a bow.Edit: I have been using these watercolors in my series of essential workers and I love how the metallic sheen adds interest to metal/shiny things like the guard’s badge. I wouldn’t call them glitter, though, they are more of an iridescent shine. The colors are rich and creamy when water is added and they work great as a pop of sparkle alongside my regular watercolors.

I love these paints.
Mist water on paint pans to soften. Colors get nice and creamy with water and spread well. Colors are vibrant and shimmery. They blend well and are fun to use. The paint dries to a sheen finish, which is what I wanted, not "glitter". The card stock included to do swatches of the colors is a nice addition, as is the soft cloth. The packaging and metal container are good quality.

Professional quality glitter paint.
I am really pleased with these professional quality glitter paints. I have a set of glitter paints I got for ten dollars and I tested those paints with the Artsy glitter paints. In the photographs Sample A is Artsy, Sample B is the ten dollar set. Artsy far outperformed the cheaper paints. The colors had more depth, loaded on a brush better and were darker. They also were superior when painting over dry black paint. The color selection is good, although a couple of the colors seem very similar to each other. The glitter colors work well with other professional watercolors. They do not blend or bleed as much as some other professional watercolors (see black and gold example- the black is Schminke and the gold is Artsy). I appreciated the DIY color chart, the inclusion of a water brush and a soft cloth. With the water brush and soft cloth to help clean the brush this set is plein air ready. The water brush is easy to use and allows the painter to achieve some soft, subtle gradations in color. The case opens flat and provides paint mixing wells on the top and bottom. The paints are filled to the top and have no bubbles. I have other professional paints that are not this well filled and I was really glad to see the care that was taken filling the pans. The colors are rich and are not thin or pale as some cheaper glitter paints are. The pans were somewhat difficult to get out of the tin (I had to take a knife to pop them out.) I would have appreciated if the color numbers would have been stamped on the pans, so I would be able to identify what color I am using by looking at the pan. It also would have been great if the DIY color swatch card had matched the configuration of the paints in the tin.I asked Artsy if it will be possible to buy individual replacement colors when I run low. Artsy replied that they do not currently sell individual replacement pans of paint, and that if they get additional customer requests they may consider doing so.

Identical to Paul Rubens, nice paints
Nice paints. Almost exactly the same thing as Paul Rubens- Identical colors except for a couple different ones. Decent pigment, very shimmery and beautiful but not as highly pigmented as Paul Rubens or other high end brands. They absolutely do the trick, look amazing in adult coloring books and are creamy when water is added. Packaging is identical to Paul Rubens with a sturdy cardboard box and cloth wrap, blue metal case to hold the paints is very well made. Excellent presentation for these nice paints. I was hoping to have more variety in colors compared to the Paul Rubens- when I asked if they were similar or different I was told they were very different but upon ordering and receipt I saw that they are basically the same thing

SHIMMER, not glitter; good so far!
I swatched these out today (3/23/21). I will extend my review after I use these for a project. After the swatches dried, I held them to the light to see the shimmer. These colors are very pretty! The light ones are not real intense; could probably be glazed over another color to add shimmer. The title "glitter" is misleading. They come in a great metal palette that secures each color so you can take it with you without the colors falling out. Comes with a water brush - I haven't used one yet, so I'm not sure how that works. Pigment is easy to capture on a damp brush.

Quality product
I had only used watercolor is designed for kids, so I was excited to try better quality ones. I really enjoyed it. They were easy to use and it was definitely fun. I actually handmade holiday cards this year using the green paint from the set. The tree is made with the paint and the dots are glitter marker. I bought the regular color set and although it works as well as the glitter ones I prefer the glitter ones.

Half full half pans
These are beautiful colors in high quality packaging but I was disappointed to find that so many pans were half full or had a huge bubble of blank space within the pan.
