We’ve used this to spice up our camping meals because we camp a lot good little book.

I very much like this cookbook for how clear it is and the tips and tricks it gives to people like me who trying to learn more 'over the fire' recipes even if just from home.

I ended up ordering two of these books. I ordered one, knowing that I was going camping in about a week or two, only to look at the recipes (they all looked so good,) and order another book for my dad for father's day the same week!

Great, simple ideas for camping. Get out of the rut and use these ideas!

I have a friend who loves camping and has minimal cooking knowledge, and this cookbook will help him treat his family to various camping cuisine with ease, as well as teaching his older kids how to cook more also when they're on family camping trips. I've looked through it myself and it's a highly giftable book which I would be happy to gift to someone again.

If not been able to use recipes yet have not had time in my life at this moment to cook out when I do I bet it'll be good

This book had lots of good looking recipes and the organization of them, by cooking method and then into courses, made it very convenient to use. The recipes that we were able to try were somewhat fun to make, fairly tasty as far as camping food goes, and, for the most part, easy to prepare. The only thing was, and my husband agreed, that it seemed more suitable for those camping in RV’s rather than in tents. A lot of the recipes called for things that need to be refrigerated; eggs, dough rolls, cheeses, and other things of that nature. So if you are camping for just one night or don’t mind trekking back into town to pick up fresh ice for the chest every day, than this is really fun book. If not, make sure you bring an RV with you.

I gave this to my son’s family as they RV it most of the year and enjoy cooking out on the grill or campfire. Not sure who enjoyed it more, how about all of them, but it was definitely worth it. Simple instructions and ingredients, easy to follow even for the kids. The colored pictures are a plus, even though there could be a bit more. I would definitely recommend, well worth the price and the enjoyment of the family cooking out together, be it at home or camping…
