A few differences
Overall the stories are great! However, I was not expecting the book to come to me with different, numerous edges. One page would have a nice clean cut but then the next 10-15 or so pages would be ragged and uneven.I would assume the book is smaller than I remember or the size differs from my expectations. Either way, the book is a bit on the smaller side compared to the norm.

Another great take on the stories of childhood
For those keeping track this is the sixth book in the Sister's Grimm series. The Scarlet Hand now is running Ferryport Landing, with the Queen of Hearts as mayor. This time, Mr. Canis or the Big Bad Wolf is on trial. During the course of the book Sabrina and Daphne continue to grow and this time learn the full history behind the creation of the Big Bad Wolf. Mr. Buckley continues to weave his spell and leaves his audience waiting for the next installment. Will the Grimm's finally be woken from their sleep? What is going to happen now that Goldilocks has returned to town? After the surprise ending of the Wolf's trial what is going to happen with Little Red Riding Hood? With so many questions answered there are still more to ponder. If you have enjoyed the run this one is a must have.

Can't wait for more!
The only thing I didn't like about this book - was that it ended! :) My parents gave me the first four books for Christmas, and once I started them, I couldn't wait to read 5 and 6. By the way - I am in my thirties! :)The Grimm books are clever - simple enough that a child can enjoy, but smart enough, so well-written, that I enjoy them too!I highly recommend this series!!

Another Exciting Grimm Sisters Tale
Book 6 is another quick and exciting read in the Sisters Grimm story. It would also seem that it might be a pivotal edition: the girls are growing up, old characters leave, new characters enter, and the Scarlet Hand has taken over Ferryport Landing. As good as this book was (and it didn't disappoint for a moment), I'm more eager to see what the next couple of books will mean for the girls.

Another witty great adventure
In book 6 of the Sisters Grimm books the psychotic Little Red Riding Hood (Red) is back, hence the play on words of the title. In Buckley's great world where fairytale characters are real people known as Everafters there is a town called Ferryport Landing. The Grimm family, last descendants of the fairy tale collectors Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, are under attack from the meglomania Mayor the Queen of Hearts and her malignant sidekick the Sheriff of Nottigham, but because they cannot get rid of family they go after Mr Canis, better known as the Big Bad Wolf, and put him on trial for the murder of Red's parents. It seems an open and shut case, everyone knows the Wolf ate Red's grandmother traumatising her into psychosis. But yet again, the truth is not as simple as it seems.I love the hardback editions of Buckley's Sisters Grimm series, they are compact little books with cloth covers, gold embossed titles and nice black and white drawings but best of all the edges of each page are rough as if they've been split apart with a ruler and have the feel of a much older book.
