Warman's U.S. Stamps Field Guide

Small dimensions but big content. In addition to providing values for many stamps, it tells a fascinating history of stamps and stamp collecting. It’s good reading, even if you don’t want to identify stamps.

This is perfect size for taking with me on trips searching for stamps. It has pictures of stamps and a brief description of each stamp. I cant wait to use it. Package came 5 days before I expected it and in good condition. This will sure help to make a more comprehensive collection.

Condensed guide that shows the year, price and value of that stamp. Perfect for looking up the value of stamps and what year they are from. Great if you have a bunch of stamps found in a drawer to look up to see collection value if you have singles, corner print blocks and blocks of four.

The book gives a lot of really good information on the stamps, but the biggest reason I couldn't rate it higher was that it was very difficult to identify a given stamp. You really needed to already know the date of issue in order to find it in the book, and the book's "chapter" headings are confusing.

Great book and answers all my questions everytime I find a stamp. It will be well used and worn for sure!

I don't have the time to do much of my stamp collection but I like to keep up on the new stamps. I have an older book & bought at a book store. When I saw this I had to have it. One of these days I'll get either new album pages or a new album and try to do a little bit at a time to put all my stamps in a book. I'll go through the book soon to see what stamps I need to order.

This book has great colored photos of stamps, a great little price guide. It does not have Scott numbers, and it's very small, it would have been better if the size was a bit larger. It would decrease the number of pages to increase the size of the pages, not so thick. I suppose the size would be good for someone that carries it around, but I don't use it that way.

Immediately I was able to value my stamps through the book. I also highlighted the stamps inside the book that I had. A really cool little book!

It's a good pocket book to take to stamp conventions, but it does not have all of the issued US stamps, nor does it go into detail of the variations of the stamps. It uses two price categories Unused and Used. In stamp collecting the price categories are much more definitive. But as described it is a pocket book and has good illustrations.

This was an excellent and reasonable priced guide I used to sort through a number of family stamp collection s. It was certainly suitable for me, as an amateur collector.l understand there are more guides available for the pros but this guide was perfect for my use. Unfortunately I was not able to discover any really valuable items but I can't blame the guide for that.
