DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Croatia

Excellent information. This was a great help in planning our trip to the Dalmation Coast. in September. I would be good if it gave a few more scenic driving routes, etc. Good pictures and giving the history of the area adds to a better understanding of the area and its people.

Great resource for our recent trip to Croatia. Lots of information and detail about all the sites to see, though I will say they over sold a few things in Dubrovnik and I wish they had mentioned things like entrance fees and how you can get a card that gets you into all sites for one low fee. Otherwise for most of the other cities we went to it was perfect.

Just back from our trip to Croatia. The book has beautiful pictures and seems comprehensive about the places to see. I recommend both the trip and the quide.

These are excellent travel guides with lots of color pictures. (A picture is worth a 1000 words.) It was been excellent in helping me plan my 10 day trip and deciding where to go and what to see. The best travel guide of all the ones I looked at.

I love these books. They are beautifully laid out, colourful, everything is well described and we buy them every time we go overseas. They are not expensive and are taken with us on our holiday. I would recommend them to any traveller.

Reading this book is almost like visiting the country itself. The pictures are gorgeous and the paper is heavy and glossy. But, of course, the book is informative as well.

I never buy another brand of travel guide if DK is available. Tough durable book with everything you need for an attraction right on the page. Opening hours, subway stops, photos. Don't bother with any other guide. I probably have 50 of them in the bookcase from all over.

Great product

I found this guide very useful for my first trip to Croatia, the Istrian peninsula. These guides are great, they give the right balance of detail for me, the detail in the displays for places of interest is very good. I have about 6 of them now and pleased with all of them.

A very good book.

This book was very useful as it gives a lot of information about the geography of Croatia and also the history and habits of the people. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is a little out of date as it talked about Croatia maybe joining the EU about 2 years ago. In fact we were in Zagreb for the joining ceremony on June 30th 2013.

A lovely book to plan a journey from. It has lots of general information on Croatia. Beautiful photos of so many places to see.along with good detailed discriptions We are travelling by car in June and the book makes it very easy to plan the places that we want to visit,
