great product. Need a very sharp exacto knife

Heat is needed and makes application easier.
Works but like most in life sounds easier than it is. The skin is pretty thick and getting the fine contours to show isn't easy. Used a torch it helps

Does not apply well to gun with grip grooves/ridges or any grooves/ridges with hair dryer
We purchased this to apply to a Ruger 380 pistol that was being used as my concealed carry. I didn't like how it handled so my husband said he would keep it and apply a skin to cover the tiffany blue color of the gun. I'm sure that maybe this product would work well on a Glock since it has a more boxy frame, but it was a disaster trying to apply this vinyl to my Ruger. We do not have a heat gun but used my hairdryer on high, which I have used many times to apply vinyl (I apply vinyl to surfaces for a living so it was not user error). It is somewhat misleading to have the photo show the vinyl skin applied to a gun with such a detailed grip buy maybe they used a heat gun...
