RIDETECS 16" Leather Biker Riding Boots For Men, Black - Tall & Wide Calf Adjustable Vamp With Side Ankle Straps

These boots are great! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable
These boots are great! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The uppers are soft enough to flex easily for walking and particularly for shifting, but are not saggy. They fit my large calves like a glove. Folks with average to small calves may find the shaft a bit large, but there is plenty of adjustment. The insole is nicely padded and supports my arch properly. They are made of really nice leather. I've never seen a boot of this quality for such a low price. They are made in China, but hey, so is about 90% of all the footwear sold today. These are not low quality junk. I'm short (5'7") so the boots come to just below my knee. They will afford great protection again stones while riding on dirt and gravel roads which was the main reason I bought these. I had originally purchased off road riding boots but they were too stiff to allow any ankle flex in order to shift gears on my Kawasaki Versys 650. They are unlined so I would recommend wearing knee high socks to protect the skin on your shins and calves from leather rash. I've experienced nothing negative relative to these boots.

Good Boot, Good Value
NOTE: buckles not as pictured by sellerI wanted a tall, full grain leather boot with classic lines (AND NO ZIPPER) that was not a chore to put on, one that will age with character. This boot checks all the boxes; and at a really good price point. After riding in them for over a month, I can say they are wearing in nicely. I'm 6'2" and wear a 13m; these come up over my entire calf. Even without finger loops, they slide on without too much trouble, and they accommodate thick boot socks nicely. Easy off with a boot jack.Lots of adjustment in the straps, and room for more holes. The 1" straps come all the way out of the buckle (which has a solid metal bar through the middle). Soles are dense and thick (they should take heel/toe rands and sole plates without issue - but too thick for standard steel toe kicks/caps).Good to wear with pants in or out (assuming no skinny jeans). The legs of my 550's slide over with ease and no binding; or jeans can be tucked after leg is in boot.I've included pictures that answered some of my questions (for one instance, the vamp flap). Flex creasing is behind the toe cap (where it should be) while the cap holds its shape.Very comfortable for all day wear. Freedom of movement in the toes but no wallowing, and the heel follows just fine. You just can't go wrong at the price point.UPDATE: over 1 year and 10,000 miles on a touring bike in these boots, I'm still loving them.

Decent All-Around
Bought these both for occasional wear and for cosplay and historical tomfoolery. They look awesome with my cosplay outfit, and I'm wearing them to a ren faire as well. Not to mention that I've worn them almost every day for a month and a half, and they're holding up well. Please note that some of the negative reviews are from people who don't understand the nuances of knee-high leather boots. They're a zebra of a different stripe. Don't expect a nice, form fit around the feet, nor around the legs. They are a little loose in the calves, but that's for sticking your pant legs in there. They are a little loose on the feet, but if they weren't, it would take an act of congress to get them on and off. I have a pair of leather riding boots like that, and they are a pain to get on and off. See that strap on top of the foot? That's for tightening once they're on. I put in an extra hole, an cinch those things down to keep my feet from sliding forward. Also, wear thicker socks. Even in the summer. Trust me. I own or have owned riding boots, WW2 German and Russian jack boots and repro Civil War cavalry boots in addition to these. You wear thick socks with them. It's just what you do. Wear dress socks, ankle socks or thinner crew/athletic socks, you'll have blisters, your feet will slide worse, and you'll have boots that smell like vinegar and regret. These are good boots. Would have rated them higher, but the leather is just a tad on the soft side. They scratch easily, so be advised.

Excellent traditional engineer’s boot.
People who slate this boot don’t seem to have experience with traditional engineer’s boots like this. They are meant to be slightly oversized to allow for thick socks, an insole, and tucked-in jeans.Leather is thick and well-oiled; sole is solid, but not too stiff. These are just what I was looking for.(Yes, Wesco boots are the gold standard, but you’ll pay 6 times what these cost.)

Light duty boots. Budget Price.
These come with removable INSOLES, which are not comfortable. Original insoles are thick and take up space, so there is plenty of room to replace them with better insoles. The same boots also available with side zippers, but not necessary. Boots easily pull on and off.

Different from pictured but not bad.
The look is nice. As others have mentioned the product pictured (Adtec) is not exactly the same as the product shipped (Ridetec). There are some differences mainly in the buckle and some other places where the branding is prominent. These boots feel very sturdy and well made. I ordered two sizes as some claimed they were variously too large or too small. The larger pair were way larger than any other footwear I've had in that size and the smaller pair (only one size down) were a bit different. The right boot fit perfectly however the left boot was very tight around the top of my foot. I was able to loosen it up somewhat with a hair dryer and some thick socks to soften and stretch the leather. The toe box and heel were also a bit snug but this should be fine. I believe in time both boots will wear in to be very comfortable. One thing that I didn't like so much about the boot that varied from the one pictured is the shape of the upper. The pictured boot seems to have a very straight and tall upper portion whereas the one received was apparently shorter and flared outward.

Shoe smaller fit
the boot was to narrow to fit your foot in and no pull strap
